It's like fine dining for backpacking trips.
The lightweight Sea to Summit Delta Plate uses a Protex hex pattern to help keep your food toasty (and thus tasty) on backpacking trips. The food-grade nylon is BPA-free, and the thumb loop helps your food and your plate not end up on the ground.

Plate/bowl/ do it all dish
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This nifty little "plate" is my go-to for all car camping and backpacking trips. The raised edges make it t good for big ol bowls of oatmeal or dumping your dehydrated rice bowls into. Lightweight and strong plastic have held up for me over time. I like the little thumb hole for both holding the plate and also attaching it to packs or paracord or whatever. Useful little dish that all campers/backpackers should have for sure.
This plate is brilliantly made. Its durable and the thumb loop on the side is very handy. Digging the orange color!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I've been trying to spruce up trail meals as they can get boring. One approach I'll try is to buy complementary meals for my daughter and I. That way we can share our meals between us to add some variety.
That is where these plates come in. There isn't a lot to say really. They work well. The bottoms are made in a way that both stiffens the plates and insulates them so your hands don't overheat when the food is steaming hot. The thumb tabs are great and allow me to attach the plate to my pack with a carabiner.
Ever concerned about weight I intend to only carry these plates when the meal plans warrant it.
At 4 1/2 oz the plates feel heavy. I'm not sure how light a plate can be made to be though.
