Why We Like The Samaya Samaya2.0 Tent
The Samaya2.0 Tent packs 4-season protection into a featherweight package so we can move fast and light all year long. The abrasion-resistant Dyneema composite on the floor and roof keeps out rain and snow, and the breathable Nanovent construction moves condensation out of our tent, so we stay dry and comfortable the whole night through. The lightweight DAC poles keep the tent standing in heavy snow and rain, and the tent packs down small for easy storage in our packs.

Disappointing.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I spent a good deal of time checking out reviews and comparing this tent to other 4 season lightweight tents. But when I set it up for the first time I discovered it was out of level by about 4 inches. This is the response I got from Samaya: "Dyneema fiber tends to shrink over time in proportions that are difficult for us to quantify. This value can vary from one tent to another. The phenomenon will not be a problem for use on snow. For use on hard ground, we consider the discomfort to be fairly contained. The entire Samaya team apologizes for any inconvenience caused." The first time I camped with it the short pole for the "roof" poked through the pole sleeve as I set it up. Shoddy workmanship and inferior materials. Worst of all, they don't stand behind their equipment. I regret this purchase.
