We pick up the Salomon 2024 Super 8 Snowboard for a high-powered daily cruiser that kills it on icy groomers and pow-choked chutes. Backseat Camber brings both explosive turning power and playfulness in powder, while Rocket Science Shaping increases its waist width for more stability and float. This allows us to downsize a few centimeters for quick-turning agility when we're banking between trees and negotiating narrow chutes. Slight tapering allows the tail to naturally sink while the buoyant nose effortlessly planes across the snow. Salomon also added in the smooth edge-to-edge feel of a quadratic sidecut and fast glide of a sintered base for crushing big mountain laps and high-speed groomers with tons of control.

Wow! So easy to ride!
Tried this board on a demo day at the montain with some other board and falled in love with this one. More stiff than my old one but not to much. Very easy to ride. I was not sure about the look at first but now, I love everything on that board.

Salomon Super 8
I try to make a point of not reading too much about a board before I demo it and the Salomon Super 8 was no different in that regard.I went in blind and with zero expectations. Within a few runs I knew I'd stumbled across something special. This board performed like an absolute champ and it handled everything I threw at it on a day that felt like I was back home on the Iced Coast. High speeds? No problem. The edge hold gave me plenty of stability to push it during aggressive turns while the medium flex allowed easy torsional turning and edge engagement. Versatility? Absolutely incredible, even with its comfortable performance on groomers and directional positioning it didn't shy away from some freestyle runs in the park. Salomon stayed true to their brand and didn't mess around when it came to the build on this board either. The Super 8 feels super sturdy and well-made and the backseat camber is an absolute game-changer. Backseat camber adds to the board's responsiveness and makes it feel like I have so much more control on my back foot than a standard directional twin shape, which is my general preference. The flex is on point, striking that sweet spot between stability and playfulness and thanks to the backseat camber the board felt lively underfoot, letting me carve hard and pull off quick turns without breaking a sweat. In a nutshell, the Salomon Super 8 left me absolutely stoked. The backseat camber and top-notch construction make it a joy to ride. After the day I had, I couldn't resist making it my new go-to for everyday riding and ended up taking one home. If you're after a snowboard that's responsive, versatile, and just plain fun. The Salomon Super 8 is the real deal.
