We're not camels, but the Salomon Soft Reservoir helps us store water like one when we're out there running and hiking. Available in either a 1.5 or 2-liter size, each reservoir shrinks as we drink, minimizing bounce and maximizing our pack space as we conquer the trail.

Poor Quality. It Leaked After 3 Uses.
On one hand, I like the size of this bladder because it holds more water than my 1.5 liter bladder. This is great for my longer runs of 20+ miles on the trails in the middle of the desert. But on the other hand, after using this 2 liter bladder only three times, (only three times!) it sprung a leak. And no, I didn’t have anything else in my Salomon ADV Skin 12 vest that might have poked a hole in the bladder. And no, I didn’t lean against anything. My run started out fine, but right around Mile 21 of a 25-mile run, the bladder started leaking all over my lower back and all down the back of my shorts and legs. Fortunately, I wasn’t too far from the end of my route, but I was still angry. I have a 50-mile event I’m training for and it’s coming up soon, so my mileage is building up each week. So, the issue with this faulty bladder comes at a very inconvenient time. I need a new 2 liter bladder for next week and I can’t find an identical Salomon bladder in any stores near me. I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of this bladder. I expected more from Salomon.

Perfect size
I originally had the 2L version for my AdvSkin 12, it had felt too heavy on my long runs so I switched it out for the 1.5L. This one is perfect; I used it for a 50k this past week and it was just what I needed.

Slow leak
I filled this for a training run and my pack was wet. I thought perhaps I spilled when filling. I filled it up before a 100 mile trail race and let it sit on a table and a puddle formed around it. No way was I heading out with a dripping pack for 100 miles. I think it’s coming from the fill flap thingy. I can’t see a drop when I squeeze it and put pressure on it tho.

Annoyingly tricky to open and close
I bought this a month or 2 ago to go with my new Salomon hydration vest. While in use it's great, but it was a nightmare to get it open the first time I used it – I had to find a YouTube video for help to open it without breaking it. The slider at the top is not very good, it often gets stuck either closing or opening the bottle - it seems flimsier and harder to use than a Nathan bottle I was borrowing previously. I'm not convinced it will last me well without breaking at some point while trying to force it open or closed, as it's not very ergonomic to use. Bit disappointed to be honest.

Perfect Reservoir for Running Pack
Good tough reservoir with side-spout at the bottom so the only sort that works for me with my Salomon vest. Bought as a replacement for one that split after 3years of heavy use..
