Wow, these literally feel like a second skin. It hugs every part of my foot and leg with equal pressure and I forget I am even wearing them. I an 115 pounds and when I rented...I was unusually a 90 flex. I stepped up to 120 here and was a bit nervous. Instead I found it was so much easier to walk in these boots fully locked in. And actual skiing I felt was so much more responsive. One mistake I made was a left them in my truck overnight and they were cold and I could not get into them that one day. So...lesson....make sure the boots are room temperature when you first put them on. I am normally a size 7 the 24.5

Great Boots

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I’ve been wearing Solomon boots for about 38 years. I’ve only had a chance to wear these once because I bought them late in the season. The biggest compliment I can give them is that I forgot they were there. Extremely comfortable. They also give me enough control to get my skis to do whatever I ask them to do. They are the stiffest boots I’ve owned and again, I didn’t notice them.

Incredible fit and heal hold

I have a narrow foot and narrow heal. Used to always ski in race boots. This is the second version of this boot I have skied and it is incredible heal hold. And the grip walk sole is fantastic.

Big improvement over the (already good) S/Max

The S/Pro Alpha 120’s fit is incredibly dialed for low-volume feet, with an ultra-snug cuff that wraps the lower leg with room for shin bang. But the new shape raises the top of the scaffo above the instep and will be much more generous for a lot of skiers. The tongue of the boot starts stiff and ramps up very quickly, delivering precise turn-initiation and snappy feedback on snow, the lateral stiffness felt incredible carving high-speed turns and snaking through bump lines. I was impressed by Salomon’s attention to customer feedback, improving the fit and features of their low-volume offering in new and surprising ways.
