Why We Like The Rome Ravine Select Snowboard

Rome's Ravine Select Snowboard takes the blueprint from the pow-hungry Ravine and boosts it with powerful tech built to dominate the steep and deep. The 3D Diamond shaping, tapered length, and hybrid Free-The-Ride profile already deliver the navigational tech needed to maneuver tight trees, steep chutes, and big drops. With added carbon for power and flax for damping, this board becomes a beast ready for whatever terrain we throw its way.

Got to try out the Ravine Select at a demo in Colorado last year and it was a BLAST. Luckily there was about 10" of new snow that fell a few days prior so I was able to really put it to the test. First thing I noticed was that it is incredibly responsive when landing in awkward positions off of little cliffs and side hits as a bigger board than I usually ride. I'm assuming because of the tapered and 3-dimensional nose design, it could withstand my forward leaning weight to prevent me from going over the handle bars and keep me going in the right direction. Besides the more free-style riding benefits, this board just rips carves on groomers going switch and regular. Overall - super fun and responsive board for the more aggressive riders who want to rip hard and fast on all parts oof the mountain!

The Ravine Select has been my go to board on deeper days for the last 2 seasons. Overall it is a floaty board in deeper snow, but still carves like a dream on hardpack. The backseat camber is very responsive and the stiffer tail offers tons of pop and landing gear in deeper snow. The 3D rocker in the nose keeps my tip above the snow (especially on lower angles) and is quick edge to edge on groomers. I don't really notice the 3D rocker that much, but I guess that is a good thing. It just works in the backgound and is there when you need it. I've ridden the Ravine Select all over Colorado, Utah and BC and I can honestly say it has held up to everything I've thrown at it.
