With Direct Vent gel padding and 360 degrees of ventilation — even in the padding — Pearl Izumi's P.R.O. Gel Vent Full-Finger Gloves mean total digit protection doesn't come at the cost of stifling layers between you and the cooling air. A grippy, durable synthetic palm also reduces interference in the hand-to-bar interface, and conductive finger tips mean mid-ride fiddling with touchscreen devices isn't precluded. The gloves are finished with a soft surface on the thumb, so the occasional nose wiping operation abrasion free.

I am a road biker and ride about 250 miles a week during the summer. These are by far my favorite gloves. They are comfortable and light--not too hot, even on the hottest days. I always wear full-finger gloves for the most protection (in case of a crash). I am surprised by the negative reviews. I have several pairs that I've had for years and they have held up great. I wash them in the washing machine often and they are soft and comfy after every wash. I even dry them in the dryer.
