Great Fabric but Waste Band is too tight
This fabric is amazingly comfortable and light, and suits the name Next to None. I love it. However, the elastic waist band is apparently designed for at least a full size smaller garment. After the first wearing, I chose to alter the length of the band so it wasn't so tight around my waste. Luckily there was enough fabric to make the modification because now they fit amazingly and feel great. I recently ordered another pair to see if I didn't get a mislabeled item. The new pair was constructed exactly the same. Normally I fit right in the middle of OR's size range for all mens bottoms and there is no reason for the band on these shorts to be so tight. If OR would build them to fit within their own size range I would definitely buy more. These shorts could be amazing.

Way too small
These are well made briefs, but the listed size is way off. I bought a medium and they fit like a small. I would return them for a larger size, but the hassle of returning them isn't worth it.

Yep, waistband too tight.
Should have paid attention to the reviews. I'm still hoping the waistband will relax a little. But after numerous wears, it's still too tight.

Waistband too tight
These feel great, except for the waistband. I've ordered a small and medium now and the waistband issue seems to be universal. Rare miss here OR.

Great material
Awesome except the waist is a bit tight and unforgiving compared to other medium briefs, including other models from outdoor research. Hopefully they will loosen up a bit. 31 is usually a little loose on my with pant sizes so I was surprised how tight these were

Top Notch
These are by far the nicest underwear I've bought. A lot of other comments complained about the waist size but as an outdoor brand designing for active people, I think these are a great choice

Snug in the waist, but otherwise function well.
As mentioned by others, these come a little snugger in the waist than is probably necessary. I gave them a little manual pre-stretch and have a fairly slim waist so I like them, but just a heads up on that point again. Nice and breathable. Their counterpart, Echo briefs, are my go-to for the most part.
