a good day hike pack

I can attach my snowshoes and iceaxes to the bag and thanks to the straps the bag stays close to my back which makes the load carrying of the bag very pleasant. the main downside of this bag is its hooked closure which I found very hard to deal with. in warmer temps the sweat from my chest would get into my phone in the pocket on the shoulder strap which but in cold weather it was alright. I take this bag mainly as my day hike bag during my backpacking trips as it is light and very abrasion resistant. the other main issue of this bag is the strap across the chest between the two shoulder straps. adjusted to the min length was still way too long for my body size.

Fills a difficult niche

Great form factor but definitely not waterproof. I love the risks OR is willing to take with their backpacks. They are often underrated and fill a niche that is difficult to find elsewhere. This pack is extremely lightweight and has super useful shoulder strap pockets for a phone and a radio. It's an ideal running pack or hunting recon pack. I took it out in moderate rain and after 30 minutes my stuff was wet. Not due to the water getting into the top enclosure like I thought, but seeping in through the fabric. I know they used their breathable-but-not-entirely-waterproof fabric they use for jackets, which doesn't exactly make sense for a backpack as they don't need to be breathable. My solution - I bought a cheap rain cover for it and now it's waterproof and one of my favorite tactical packs. Keep on experimenting OR! I love it.

Decent pack

Decent pack, light weight , nice material, be better if it was just one large compartment not two small ones ... could actually fit gear in better without cramming things in. I might try to cut the divider out and make it better.

Great little day pack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really unsure about the size of this bag but once I got it, it turned out to be the perfect size I was looking for. I use a wheelchair part time, and I use crutches the other part, the bag works great for both

The perfect pack!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a great day pack. Super lightweight and versatile and made of great material. I love it also for how much I can get in there and the ease of storage when not using. My kids are even trying to take it from me while we're hiking and like it, so must be doing something right - absolute must buy!
