The fleece lining is so cozy!
I use the hat under my ski helmet. I was looking for a warm but thin enough hat that would cover my ears. I have a small head and it was hard to find a small enough hat but this one works for me! I washed the hat and it shrunk slightly (perfectly) to fit me.

Exactly what I was looking for. Perfect fit, lightweight and warm. Just wish they had more color options.

All Over the World
I bought this hat for work because the materials are quality and stay warm when wet. Not to mention the color and subdued logo meet my agency's uniform policy. I am replacing this hat not because it wore out, but because i lost it. I have had this hat for work all winter and fall. Of duty I have had it in Israel (yeah. It snowed on us there in December), The Italian Alps, And the Spanish Pyrenees. That hat was my buddy. Six weeks has been too long without it. I am so very happy you still make it. --Odie

Has to cover ears to work
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:

My head is 7 and 3/4 just an average large/ Xlarge head this thing only covers half my ears!!! Obviously in an effort to cut costs you use less material and hope the person buying it is going to determine it isnt worth the time to return it, which is true... I just thought companies like BACKCOUNTRY and OUTDOOR RESEARCH would sell and produce a product you could actully use...If you are out in cold weather exposed skin can get frostbite, etc...its going in the trash and I guess you win Im done wasting time with backcountry and outdoor research...

Great Fitting Beanie
I have a large head and have issues finding a good fitting toque. This beanie fits well and is warm enough for winter. I'd recommend it.

Doesn't cover ears lobes
I bought the large size but it doesn't even cover my ear lobes. Whats the point on buying a warm windproof toque if your ear tips are cold. It will be left at home for the cold Canadian winter hikes . Shop elsewhere for a warm well fitting hat.
