Versatile carry-on travel pack
I use this pack for 1-4 night trips by plane, train, and automobile. It fits a ton of stuff in it, and wears comfortably even when fully loaded. The fabric has held up well to rain, and the interior drybag provides some extra security. Since I usually travel with a laptop and a tablet, the interior and exterior-access options for those are very convenient. My only small complaint is that the water bottle holder is a bit loose, and my 24-oz water bottles slide out if I place the bag horizontally.

Go to for daily use.
Was skeptical of the material and durability but after a few weeks, I love this bag for daily use in multiple environments. Great quality, great design, overall would buy again and again. Another quality product from OR.

Good, not great travel bag
Bought this as a travel pack largely and not for hiking. I like that the bag comes with it's own stuff sack that can be buttoned into the inside of the pack. The bottle holders on the side are large and accommodating. The size at 35L makes it good for long weekends. I also like that the main compartment zipper goes around the entire bag. Also, I like that the material is somewhat weatherproof, I have not used this bag in heavy rain, but it was a positive that I could use it in wet conditions. The downside to this pack is that there isn't a top pocket for quick stashing of keys, glasses, and/or phone. There is a small zippered net pocket at the top of the inside of the bag, but I want quicker access. The small front pocket has a vertical pocket which makes it a bit difficult to get things into the pocket, and also leaves the opportunity for things to fall out when opening that pocket. Another drawback is that there is no key d-ring or lanyard - something I like in packs which is just the peace of mind that my keys are not shifting around. Lastly, a strange feature is that there are two laptop compartments. The inner main has a sleeve for a laptop, and on the outside there is a separate compartment with it's own zipper for a laptop. Both compartments will fit a large laptop. I would recommend this bag for size alone, I like a 35L and the durable material - but there are some tweaks that need to be made that expand the use beyond trips or to make it more of a complete bag.
