I’m tired of the big
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m tired of the big book bag/travel backpack, and couldn’t find anything the size I wanted. I saw someone with an Osprey and immediately went home and ordered one. It’s perfect for books, food, drinks, jacket, and small laptop or iPad. Thanks Osprey, for getting out of the cookie cutter box!

Bought this bag to replace
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this bag to replace a daylite plus I use for hiking. The daylite plus is perfectly comfortable for hiking but with 3 liters of water in it, the straps become less comfortable. The straps on this sportlite are more robust than the daylite’s straps and I like the back panel of the sportlite better as well. Where the sportlite could use some serious improvement is the smaller storage compartment. Osprey should make it more like the daylight plus. Or just put more robust straps on the daylight plus. Both are great bags in the end.

This is my third Osprey
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Osprey backpack and I've been very happy with all of them! They're well made and the mesh backing works great for those of us who sweat a lot.

LOVE THIS PACK
One of the best packs I've used! I took this thing through a whole season hiking, bushwhacking, falling, sliding, and crawling while working as a field botanist and it held up through everything. It's the perfect size to hold all my field gear, water bladder, personal items, and my lunch for a full day in the field, with room!! Plus, the adjustable shoulder and waist straps make it super easy to find that perfect spot where the weight doesn't strain your shoulders or back -- I would take a full 3L of water on top of my gear and lunch in the field and would feel totally fine! I'm not sure if it's advertised at waterproof, but I've gotten caught in rain and hailstorms and my stuff stayed pretty dry. I've accidentally sprayed BEAR SPRAY on this thing and it didn't stain or leak through. It doesn't smell like sweat or BO either, even though I would completely drench the back of it in sweat by the end of each day. Also the water bottle pockets can fit a 32oz Nalgene :) I would say this is not for someone who likes a LOT of organization and pockets since it doesn't offer tooo much of that. But if you don't mind that, it still offers enough space to hold all of your belongings comfortably. I'm considering buying another or a smaller version for everyday use since I love it so much.
