I grabbed this to wear
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I grabbed this to wear at a race versus my backpack so I had more airflow. It fits great and is easy to cinch down to keep it from flopping after drinking some water out. Excellent product. Highly recommend.

Functionally, this thing is perfect. Gives me 1.5L of water for my long walks. It's nice not having to carry a water bottle. The struggle though is drying this thing out when finished. It's a very awkward shape, and it "sticks" together when damp inside, so the residual water droplets can't drain/dry. My best solution is to insert 2-3 big wooden mixing spoons into it (all at different angles) and hang upside down via the drink tube. This allows droplets to drain and air to flow to most of the inside of the bag for evaporation of the rest. Also, remove the mouth piece from the tube so water can drain from the tube.

Great little pack. Simple and
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little pack. Simple and functional. Wish there was shove-it pockets or bunnies for attaching clothes to the outside. Cinch straps don’t seem to do anything.

Osprey makes great packs! This hip pack works great if don’t carry all your tools and stuff on a ride. Great for the minimalist!

Excellent warm weather biking bag
Fits like a glove, holds the essentials, has room on the strap to attach a small camera case, does not get particularly hot, thanks to air flow construction. Used on a bike tour of Cambodia (85-95 degrees F) and on day rides in New York (40-50 degrees F). Never used it as a hydration pack. Removed the bladder immediately. Instead carried sunglasses, large smartphone, snacks, small tube of sunscreen, passport, cash, electrolyte drink mix packets, bike multitool.

Great Pack!
This pack is great for short excursions. While it is a biking pack, I use mine for short hikes and snowshoeing. It has been awesome to use while recovering from a shoulder injury. It has enough room for water, snacks, and small essentials. I moved the mouthpiece closer to the belt buckle because it would disconnect from the magnet constantly when you move your arms. Also, a mesh pocket in the front would be great to quickly stash and access a cell phone. My biggest disappointment with this pack is the lack of a reservoir cleaning kit. It is very inconvenient to clean the small reservoir and dry it out. I end up using multiple reusable straws to poke into the reservoir to keep it open and allow air flow and get it dry. Would love to see a proper drying rack.

Out of all the hip packs with bladders I've used, I like this one the most. As per most osprey packs, it has an extremely robust and quality build to it. The bladder is clean, easy to use, and lacks the gross plastic taste that comes from a lot of other bladders. The hose is not detachable, which I see no issue in. Full of water and tools the pack doesn't bounce around on my back during descents and I don't notice it at all during climbs. It's easy to grab the hose and drink from it, and then reattach to the magnet. My only gripe about this pack is it's lack of storage space. It seems to have only 1 zipper pocket, which means your storage is shared with your bladder. I would of liked to see some other zipper pockets and some storage that isn't shared with the bladder. Otherwise it's a great pack, and for the $75 price tag I wouldn't go with any other brand. Not to mention ospresy's epic warranty, which keeps me buying their bags time and time again.
