I love my other On shoes! These arrived, today, and I had ordered my normal size, but my toe hit the end. I do have a narrow foot, but there were extremely narrow. Unfortunately, I had to send back. :(

The best trail shoes for my feet

Last summer I ran and hiked a lot of trail miles in the Cloudventures and they are truly the best shoes for my feet after trying several other brands over the years. They have the right mix of support and comfort. Additionally, more neutral shoes that are not super light work for my feet. The Cloudventures fit those bills. Occasionally, rocks do get stuck in between the "clouds" but that's no big deal for me. I found they run very true to size. I am an 8 in most shoes and the 8s fit me just fine. Happy feet.

I love my road running shoes from On so I wanted to give their trail running shoes a try. Unfortunately, I find the Cloudventures to be stiff and uncomfortable. The cloud cushioning is great on road, but makes it really difficult to get a sense of ground feel when navigating the terrain on trail and beyond. The spacing between the cushions is also problematic when rocks get stuck in between them--a total buzzkill having to stop to remove a rock from the sole when I'm having fun bombing down a hill. One positive is that the traction on these shoes are pretty good on the trails I tested them on, including on some snow. I would have returned them, but it looks like I waited too long to do so.
