Whether we're paddling the surf off Malibu, the bay behind our summer cabin, or the creek outside of town, the Ocean Kayak Malibu 11.5 Kayak keeps things easy for us. As a sit-on-top, it's easy to get on and off, which also makes self-rescues easier than re-entering a flooded sit-inside kayak in the middle of the lake. For those of us worried about tippy kayaks, the Malibu has a wide base for initial stability and a hull that's designed for stability in the surf, too.
