This backpack saved my life

I just bought this backpack for my field season as a daypack. I love how much room is in the brain pouch, the water pouch feature, and the multitude of pockets as well. Last week on a trail during work, I ended up taking a gnarly fall down a 40ft slope and into a creek and landed on my back on a big rock. This backpack and the hip belt braced my fall and absorbed most of the impact. Without it, not sure I would’ve gotten away with just a sore back for a few days. It also shielded my head from impact with the rock. It literally saved my life and I hope to get more great use out of this pack (hopefully no more falls).

Bought for daughter in law for Christmas….she loved it…. They do a lot of camping and hiking

Bought them for the entire family

Bought mine about a year ago. Been the best pack I’ve ever used. This season bought them for the rest of the family.

Good smaller day pack

Bought for my girlfriend for small day trips, snowboarding and general use. Good smaller day pack, good usage of space, zippers are great, 5’7 and the larger pack fits her perfectly.

I love my mystery ranch wildland firefighter pack so I decided to give this day pack a try. Love it just like my fire pack. First hike I took this pack on, we got rained on like crazy and everything in my pack stayed dry!

Absolutely love this pack!

I’m very happy with this pack! I got the size, per my measurements and it fits absolutely perfect! I loaded it down with several liters of water, more food than I needed, and extra stuff, just to see how it’d feel. It wears so good, I felt no weight at all! The padded shoulder straps, back, and waist belt, create a very comfy feel. Overall, I’m very pleased and I’m very happy to have this pack. The quality is really there and noticeable. I highly recommend for somebody looking for a great day pack that holds everything plus extras or a great weekender.

I was so excited to try this pack. Love the color and the weight and the large storage and external pockets. But the bladder holder is flawed. If you use a large bladder it will flop around in the internal pocket and throw off your balance.

Perfect Pack!

Bought this for my Daughter and also got the Coulee 25 for me and my son. We were looking for a more streamlined pack to climb in Colorado on the more technical peaks. We attempted Crestone Needle in late July and summited in tough conditions. We all have several other Mystery Ranch packs and the Coulee 25 worked perfectly on the climb of Crestone Needle. My Daughter loved the Women's specific pack and the size and features of the pack are perfect for a Class 3-4 climb with significant exposure. The size and features make it easy to access items quickly and the outside pockets work well when you have to get to items or take off clothing and quickly stuff away. Very comfortable on a long climb with a large elevation gain. We all highly recommend!

Best day pack

I upgraded to this pack for my hiking day pack recently and I love it. They thought of everything for this one — the water bladder compartment and out-hole for the hose, top pocket for small items and keys, two-sided zippering for main compartment, adjustable frame, water bottle compartment etc etc. The pack had more than enough room for day-use items, rain jacket etc. I also really love the blue color the women’s pack comes in, it’s a very muted blue and not so bright I think I could get away with taking this pack on a small game day-hunt.

Perfect for SAR work. Love the four outside pockets, great for carrying extra water for my dog.
