Firefall Bib Pant

Mountain Hardwear made the Firefall Bib Pant with dawn patrols and epic backcountry days in mind. It has Thermal.Q insulation in critical areas for efficient heat retention where you want it most. If the pants end up running too hot, full-length side zips dump heat and provide comfortable ventilation for as much or as little that is required. Articulated knees allow for additional mobility so you’re not restricted while skinning up the track or making your kick turns. Both zippered thigh pockets have a mesh pocket to fit an avalanche beacon, so you can whip it out easily when you need to.

We had a lot of trouble finding bibs for my gf. She?s 5?0? but has thick thighs and butt. We had tried several pairs of bibs before finding a pair that actually worked for her. The mountain hardware fire fall fit perfect. Great for pow days, the only down fall about these is the lack of shoulder strap clips.

Love these Bibs!

Ordered these on a Tuesday and they arrived on Friday just in time for a weekend ski getaway. The purple color is great and they are very comfortable. Love the placement of the pockets. The side zippers make it easy to unzip to use the restroom without even having to take the suspenders off. But... I do wish there was a snap at the top of the side zippers to prevent them from unzipping during a lot of movement while skiing. Also, they seem very waterproof after two days of skiing the glades. Highly recommend these.

Firefall ski bibs

Excellent product. Adds a little to ones ski attire. Has plenty of storage pockets. Could use the a bit shorter.

LOVE

Love these bibs. Warm enough for cold days, full side zip and extremely breathable for the warm days. So easy with the side zips to use the rest room. And they fit great! Would definitely recommend these to anyone!

No Need to Size Up

I read all of the reviews and was worried that these would be too tight on the butt/thighs so I sized up to a Large but they were massive (I'm 5'7, 155lbs). I returned them for the Medium which fits MUCH better!

Perfect ski bib

Perfect amount of insulation for warmth in active skiing conditions. Favorite feature is the side zip for bathroom use.

Great bibs

I love Mountain Hardwear for answering my tall woman prayers and having bibs with long inseams. I'm 5'10" 145lbs athletic build, but with a booty. The small/long fits me well. They fit a little snug in the butt/hips area, but I haven't noticed it affecting function or movement. I love the combat green color as well. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Returning for too small above waist

Purchased Large/short bibs. Fit below the waist was fine but couldnt zip sides up comfortably. Found shoulder straps awkward to put on, they dont connect frint to back like nornal bibs would. I dont expect XL/short would solve fitment issues. These would be fin for a petite shape.

Great bib, could use enhancements

I love this bib so much that I bought it twice (in two different sizes). I love that it comes in different lengths! I'm 5'2" and most ski bottoms are massively too long. The short length of these is just about perfect, definitely not too short. That said, I do question the placement of the belt loops on this item. I find, if I'm wearing the braces at the right length, the belt loops are way too high, but if I drop the braces down to where the belt should ride, the entire garment is too low. Additionally, the accessibility of the full side zips is nice, but they don't always stay in place and I've had to tie 2 out of the 3 zipper pulls together to prevent snow from getting into my pants at the thighs. Totally workable, and not worth complaining about day to day, but could use some improvements in future iterations of this product.

Tight in the hips

I decided on these out of a lot for cross country skiing. While I haven't gotten to use them outside yet (where's the snow??), I've tried them on and they're so snug in the hips I won't be able to fit more than a basic base layer underneath. Ordered medium: I am 5'7" 155lbs, waist 32, hips 37.5. Considering a large, but the length is perfect and the legs will likely be way too big.
