The Mountain Hardwear Cederberg Pull-On Pants are designed to go with you on your toughest projects from their soft, breathable material that keeps you cool and confident to their construction that anticipates climbing movement. Articulated knees ensure you can drop a knee or put on your shoes without bunching, while a gusseted crotch ensures the highest of heel hooks are possible—if your flexibility allows it. Yin/Yang
These pants are an enigma. They're nearly impossible to put on and take off, as the stretch of the elastic in the waist is checked by the limits of the built-in belt. It's a struggle to pull the waist of the pants over my (admittedly somewhat muscular) hips and thighs. This is especially true for the dark green pants, which inexplicably has a belt that is at least 1" shorter than the belts on the blue and mustard versions ... Going to the bathroom is also a pain, as the absence of a fly forces me to snake my junk up and over the stretched-to-the-limit waistband. But once you get them on, the pants are actually very comfortable. Roomy in the butt/hips/thighs, with plenty of stretch, but narrow in the calves and ankle. Best comp I can think of is bugle boy or zubaz pants from the 80s, or maybe MC Hammer pants with a shorter crotch. Great activity pants, like sweats, but still smart-looking enough to wear to work. There is too much material in the rear (making them both too small in the waist and too large in the hips), and creating a mild "butt-sag" effect (which is exacerbated by the absence of a rear pocket on the left side), but this could be why they're so comfortable. And since I roll 60% comfort/40% style, I won't deduct a star for that. So fix the entrance/exit difficulties (-1 star) and add a fly (-1 star) and you have a decent pair of pants. Basically, I guess I just prefer the classic button/zipper pant style. FYI, I'm 6', 190 lbs, 34/32, bought a large/regular.

Great fit ...with a deeply flawed design
It is a great fitting pair of pants....once you are able to get them over your butt to your waist. There is no opening at the waist nor is there a zipper and unless your butt and your waist are about the same size getting these on is not easily accomplished. And forget about using a urinal when you are wearing these; the lack of a zipper means you have to pull your pants down around your ankles to do your business. This pair of pants is made of a wonderful fabric and but is poorly designed.

Bought with active adventure/casual use in mind rather than climbing. Found sizing below knee to be excessively wide with no taper to ankle. Great material but unfortunately the wide leg fit isn't what I'm looking for...clearly a millennial

ehhh...
These pants are great....up to the moment you have to pee. Other reviews have mentioned the same. 'Don't want to go into details here. When you try them on, think about using the bathroom when doing so. Good luck!

Great material - stupid design
Trying to figure out if the people designing these pants have never had to urinate in their lives. Pants without a fly? By far the most silly and useless feature ever. Who wants to have to pull down their pants like a 4 year old to do their business?

Comfy but a little fragile!
I got these a couple months ago and finally feel like I have enough experience with them to actually write a review. The pants are great for hiking and probably my favorites at the moment. They did get a tear in them when I was doing a little scrambling. It was nothing a little thread couldn’t fix but I would be hesitant to wear these actually climbing.

I can't really give a proper review because I could only get them halfway up my thighs. Same size (on paper) as three other brands I wear. Just thought prospective buyers should know.

Simple, flexible, well fitting pants
I’m a southern native who moved to the Rockies for outdoor pursuits and my best life. I’ve guided for 3 years around the west, Alaska, and Europe, and climb constantly so it’s really important for me to have durable, versatile pants that aren’t going to hinder- so I give the Cederburg Pull On Pant 5 out of 5 stars. I used this piece climbing/mountain biking in Colorado and Utah. I am tall and skinny and finding pants that fit me well is incredibly difficult, so I was ecstatic when I put on these pants for the first time and they fit perfectly! I wear 31/34 (ridiculous, I know) and have no complaints. First off, you’re not going to end up with imprints in your waist after wearing these in a harness all day because the waistband is super low profile while still being easily adjustable with a cinch buckle. There’s a little stretch in the cotton material and I can do any moves on a wall without feeling restricted in the slightest, which is important for me since I’m not at all flexible and don’t need any additional hindrance high stepping. The articulation and taper to the ankles ensures I won’t get longer pants trapped under a heel hook or in a crack while jamming. Plus, once you’re back to camp for the night, the pockets are so deep they’ll hold 3 beers each. Score. The Cederburg Pull On Pants are super simple, put-em-on-and-send pants. Easy.
