Why We Like The Canyon Long-Sleeve Shirt
You can wear the Mountain Hardwear Women's Canyon Long-Sleeve Shirt when you're exploring slot canyons in the San Rafael Swell during the day and then go straight to the brewery for a well-earned pint afterwards. If you skimped on sunscreen, flip up the collar to avoid the overused, but possibly deserved, moniker of redneck.

My new FAV hiking shirt
Amazingly light weight! I love the sunblock factor too!

Sizing
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- Small
- Height:
- 5' 1"
- Weight:
- 115
Material and quality seems great even the features. The style is nice too. I agree with what other people say about the sizing. I’m a small person 5 ft 1in and 115 lbs and I got a small. It works for me but if I wasn’t that small it def would’ve been tight around the shoulders and lats. The lower part of the shirt is huge though. Made for a huge beer gut or perhaps if I was pregnant idk. I do love the color of dusted sky and will most likely be wearing this a lot with a sports bra under and unbuttoned to prevent my arms from getting sun burned.

Has anyone at MHW ever seen a woman before?
If Mountain Hardware is only going to design clothing for men and women with absolutely no female curves I wish they would be more up front about it. I typically wear a medium in just about everything and I was so excited to get this shirt to protect me from the sun while hiking, walking, or doing anything outside really. When I got this shirt as a gift I was shocked it was a large and it STILL fit snug in the shoulders. I have very narrow shoulders and mediums and smalls often do not fit me in the shoulder but this large fit very snugly. I wore this shirt to play volleyball with some friends and left it unbuttoned so it wouldn't restrict my movement. The first time I served the back split open like the Hulk and left a rip in the mesh fabric. I was so disappointed and honestly shocked that it ripped so easily. Mountain Hardware is such a great brand but if they are only going to cater to a very narrow idea of what a woman's size is I will definitely be spending my money elsewhere. All that being said, the shirt did protect me from the sun which is why I gave it two stars instead of one.

Great shirt that runs small
Mountain harwear clothes are very well-made, but you should order at least one size larger than you normally wear.

Best hiking shirt
Love this shirt. Sun protection while hiking, yet cool and comfortable enough to wear in the heat. Great fit.

Great shirt
I gave this shirt to my wife as a gift. She has worn it on numerous hikes in the Rocky Mountains over the last few months and has often commented on how comfortable it is. She says it’s breathes well and dries quickly after washing. She says she like to get a couple more in different colours!

Women's Canyon Long Sleeved Shirt
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have two short sleeved travel shirts from Mountain Hardwear that I bought in 2010 and have become a staple of my summer wardrobe. I was looking for a long sleeved version for Ireland this Spring. I tried several other well known makes but the Mountain Hardwear had the best fit. It fit comfortably over my hips so I can wear it outside my trousers if I choose. The others did not. I love the fact that it has vents in the back.
