Camp 4 Medium 65L Duffel Bag
Mountain Hardwear's Camp 4 Medium 65L Duffel Bag is the mid-sized duffel in their Camp 4 collection. This size is great for weekend getaways and trips when you don't need to haul quite so much gear. Durable 420D nylon will hold up when you toss this bag into the trunk before you hit the road and the water-resistant coating encourages water to bead off. The external zippered pocket can be used to hold muddy running shoes or can be reversed to store the bag once you get home. Internal mesh zippered pockets will keep your small essentials from wandering off. Removable foam-padded backpack straps give you some options for hauling your gear around. An internal compression system helps compress your belongings so your load stays stable. Reflective accents help keep you visible at night.

I’m not sure there is such as the perfect bag. And I admit I might be a little dense. This bag is a great mid size bag between the gym bag and load out duffel. I think it came assembled backward but had no instructions so who knows. I changed the back strap orientation which put the cordura end on the bottom. Which also means the outside pocket is on bottom. BIGGEST challenge was no sternum strap which is essential with the poor design backpack straps. Made one. Much better

So I already owned the Base Camp 45L duffel in dark caspian multi, and loved it. Perfect for a weekend carry on when I didn't feel like using a roller board. But there are instances (like a golf trip) where I need a greater variety of clothes (and shoes) than a typical weekend getaway and needed a slightly larger bag and the 65L version fit the bill. I did also check out the newer version (single zip main opening, and single shoulder strap) but the thickness of the material was not as robust IMO. I did like the shoulder strap (but it was not padded), but did not like the single zipper opening. Combined with the less thick material of the newer model, the older model is strongly preferred by me. I also like the end-zippered pocket (where you can stuff the bag when not in use) to hold items separate from the main compartment. This is a robust bag with a very hard-wearing material that can be dragged across the ground without damage. So far it is pretty waterproof, but I have not dunked it underwater to see how good it is. But rainshowers do not get the contents wet. This is easily comparable to other top-end duffle bags from other name-brand manufacturers.

Stylish, Robust, and very Practical
The bag looks great and is very practical. Especially, with the ability to fold into itself. The straps are robust and comfortable and the pockets are easy to access and open. I did not like how wide the bag is when you fill it with clothes. When packed with items the bag has a pregnant look that I don't get when packing my other duffels. But that's really the only negative. The bag is stylish, robust, and practical. I'll likely purchase additional bags for family members and maybe a few other sizes for myself.

Camping system foundation
Had to choose between these and the REI model and preferred the detachable straps here. We intend to put these through their paces more thoroughly but no complaints so far. They are sturdy and well-thought-through. The stow pocket takes a little muscle. We are using these as our outdoor adventures packing system but also hope to fly with them.

Duffel bag.
J’aurais aimé avoir une poignée lorsque j’enlève les bretelles. Sac de très bonne qualité, très apprécié.

Beware of colors
I just bought both of the multi colored versions of these and I feel like the brightness of the tones is heavily edited in the product photos. I have some MH shells in purple and teal and the colors really POP in real life as much as they do in the product photos. I don't feel similarly about these duffels. Every color except the blue has a darker tone to it than the photos. Also the rose and teal/green bag has purple ends on it, and you cant really tell in any of the photos. Maybe my thoughts in the colors once I see the bag in the sunshine. Otherwise the bags have nice construction. The upper end with the zipper pocket and shoulder straps has more structure than the lower end which is the side where the main compartment opens from. Might be nice to have the opening end to be a bit less floppy but that's not the end of the world. Still, it's a solid bag.

Awesome bag for travel!
This bag has come with me on a few camping and sailing trips. Easy to carry and to pick out on the badge claim. Contents stay dry and protected. Get it!
