Good all around winter sports boot
A great all around winter boot. I used these boots exclusively, hiking to over 20 peaks this winter, 18 of which were on the NH 48 list. They stayed dry, provided good traction, and a decent level of warmth. They also worked well with snowshoes, and microspikes. Light crampons fit on them, however I never actually needed to use them.

Great boots….so far.
Comfortable, warm, decent traction. Fit was ideal. Bought them on sale at the end of winter, so haven’t tested them in harsh conditions. Very happy so far.

Thermo Chill Mid WP
The boots are warm and comfortable. They fit true to size and have proven, over and over, to be completely waterproof. These are a great pair of boots.

Merrell Thermo Chill
First time reviewer here. My first pair of Merrell’s Bought these size 10, in the Fall of 2023 at Mark’s on sale. I wanted to wear them through the winter first before I could really rate them. Honestly, the best pair of winter boots I’ve ever owned. Unless I had to contend with a three foot dump of snow, (Montreal) then these things were always on my feet. Being involved in the equestrian world as well around horses and mud (you get the picture), these made for superior comfort. Never slipped, never got cold, never got wet, always felt secure. Like wearing tanks on my feet but with the comfort of slippers. Comfortable from day 1. Laces are a little long, but who cares.. wrap them around one more time. I’d upload some pictures but they’re covered in mud and other stuff at the moment.. Lol!! 😁 Just came out of the big Merrell sale from this weekend. Will post later on my new acquisition. Bear in mind troops; Everyone’s foot is different. What may work for you may not work for someone else. That doesn’t mean it’s a poorly made shoe.

Solid so far…
So far, so good. Haven’t put many miles on them at all. But, they are incredibly warm and seem comfy. Heading out in the backcountry next week and should get some more feedback. Toebox could be a hair wider, but still feels solid right now.

Great Boots
Great boots. Comfortable out of the box. I bought them for walking on ice and snow covered sidewalks. I try to do a few kilometers a day in a suburban area and these boots keep my feet warm. Great traction on the snow and ice. I had a bargain pair that I used previously but this pair beats them by a mile. It's worth paying a bit more.

Good boots until they were't.
I bought the slightly higher version of this boot last winter. Would have returned then because of faulty lacing: slippery laces and no hook at the top of lace-up. I needed them then so kept them. They turned out to be comfortable and warm with decent socks in a variety of winter conditions including snow, ice, rain and puddles. Temps down to teens. After the latest cold and snow period when thing turned slushy, then wet, the right boot was no longer waterproof and my foot was soaked after a 45 minute walk in the rain. Im very disappointed and caught in the middle of winter using my GTX non insulated boots for the milder conditions. The boots are otherwise still in good shape
