The Moab Speed Hiking Shoe sits somewhere in between a trail running shoe and a hiking boot, making it the perfect option for speed hikers. We love the integrated toe cap and rock plate, which offer excellent protection in the slickrock environment we encounter while hiking in Southern Utah.

Moab Speed, won't hold up.
I bought 2 pair of the Moab Speed shoes. They fit well and are super comfortable, honestly they would be my favorite shoe of all time if they held up. They both fell apart way too quickly compared to my other Merrell's. My podiatrist recommended Merrell's years ago and I buy several a year. I had other Moab's I was wearing so I didn't get to use these until 6 months after I bought them so Merrell wouldn't warranty them even though the pics I sent they agreed looked defective. Great shoe, poor reliability.

Great value
Bought these shoes on sale. They were exactly what I needed to ease the pain from a bout of planters fasciitis. This allows me to continue my daily 4km walk to stay healthy.

Yucky new manufacturing plant
Unfortunately it’s a poorer fit than my last shoes material is less quality

Running shoes
It’s a great pair of running shoes 👟, but can be improved on cushion. Specially for a person that’s running all the time.

Check sizing!
Shoes look great. But I ordered the wrong size - MAKE SURE YOU USE CORRECT UK OR US SIZING!! [As they had no other sizes I could not swap them. And instead of sending back I sold them to a friend - with great endorsement of Merrell]

More of a sneaker than a hiking boot.
Not much grip but, worth the price on sale. Not a great hiking boot. It is comfortable for sure!

Great shoe!
LOVE these! Got them, put them on, took a 7 mile hike! No problem. These are my 5th pair of the Moab speed, they are great for hiking, walking, every day use.Traction while hiking is great, even in loose rocks. They are light weight. I buy a half size up. My favorite!

Hitting the Streets
The shoes are very comfortable and sturdy. I have not had the opportunity to put them to a greater test than all-day walking. They have done that ver well.

Good but undersized
I like the comfort but it would have been much better if I knew I had to get half a size bigger. My feet are normally 10.5 but the pair at 10.5 is a bit short. I took off the insoles for better feet movement.
