    Moab 2 Vent Hiking Shoe

When it's going to be a weekend spent squeezing through slot canyons, scrambling over hoodoos, and hiking through red rock landscapes, make sure you have the Merrell Men's Moab 2 Vent Hiking Shoe on your foot to get the most out of your trip. A combination of durable leathers and mesh make up this shoe's upper for long-lasting, breathable comfort on days where the temp heads towards triple digits, while the closed-cell foam tongue does its part to keep moisture and debris out while kicking through sandy, dried out creek beds. The contoured Merrell M Select FIT.ECO+ footbed boasts added zonal arch and heel support to meet the ever-changing desert terrain, and a reliably grippy Vibram TC5+ rubber outsole provides the traction necessary to step firmly on steep, slick rock surfaces.

    • Highly breathable, comfortable hiking shoe ready for desert temps
    • Suede and mesh upper blends durability with breathability
    • Mesh lining further enhances cool air flow
    • Contoured EVA footbed with zonal arch and heel support fights fatigue
    • Nylon arch shank provides a stable ride
    • Vibram rubber outsole grips slick, smooth rock surfaces
    • Item #MER00EH

    Fantastic pair of hiking shoes

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 13
    • Height: 6'2"

I bought these for a trip to South America. They fit pretty well out of the box, and after two easy local hikes here in the US they were broken in and ready to go. Handled the desert, mountains, and city with ease through almost two straight weeks of non-stop wear on my trip. I imagine I'll be using them for the next few years at least.

    Love this brand

I have bought several Merril shoes in the past few years and have never had a bad experience with them. Highly recommend their products, hiking shoes are extremely comfortable.

These are incredible quality and provide a great performance for the price. It's hard to choose anything else after the reliability of this model. My father has had more than a handfuil of these and continues to love them. Great hikers and all around outdoor shoe.

    Great value!

Merrell makes some very nice hiking shoes and have for years while still keeping them quite affordable compared to some other brands who want to charge $200 or more for something that performs just the same. This are comfortable and very durable.

    Love Merrell

Based on my previous experience with Merrell shoes, I went this time for the MOAB 2 VENT and boy am I glad I did. I chose this time the CASTLEROCK color and I love it. So far, I have taken this pair for a 7 and a 12 mile hike. It's square heel provides me with a steady footing while being flexible and comfortable for demanding situations like narrow trails and steep drops. I love my Merrells!

    Great hiking shoes.

This is my fifth or so pair of these shoes, that should say it all. I wear them daily for work, on a concrete floor in a warehouse, and they provide the support and comfort I need to get through the day. They also shine out on the trail, they are great hikers that I highly recommend. I wear 9s in Keen and 9s in Merrell, these fit great.

I've owned several Merrell Moabs in different variations over the years and they've all been 5 stars. They feel great right out of the box like other reviewers have said.

I've had the GTX version, the Mid-height version and now this is my first non GTX version. Always consistent and the same great fit. I've tried other brands over the years, but always come back to the Moab.

Love the Merrell Moab Ventilator shoes. I've had multiple pairs of these shoes, and the '2' is just as good as the older versions. Lightweight, but rugged. Great fit.

    So Far So Good

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

bought these as a gift and they have received rave reviews so far! Will update when I they have a little more time to try them out!

Right out of the box, these are the most comfortable hiking shoe I've ever owned. I bought the non-gortex version. They are very comfortable and very durable.

    Lightweight and Durable!

I hiked the Grand Canyon in the Moab 2's on a four day camping trip. They hold up like a heavier shoe, yet are extremely lightweight with great breathability. The vibram soles are great when walking over sharp rocks and have excellent grip for those areas with loose gravel. I definitely recommend these for long hikes on rocky trails.

    Super Ultra Mega Classic

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

The classic hiking shoe. If you go hiking, and see 5 other people or more, you will have seen a pair of these. Thats just about the most telling review I could think of.

    Great shoe

Second pair of these that I've owned. The first one lasted years and finally reached a point when they hardly had any tread left and had a hole torn in the mesh from getting caught on a metal gate. It's impressive that they lasted as long as they did, considering the way I wore and beat them with hiking, work, and regular wear. I got another pair as a light hiker to wear while I worked at a summer camp. I've now worn them almost daily for about 2 months, and they seem just as good as my first pair. They are comfortable shoes that break in quickly (if they need it at all) and are as durable as I could ask for. Merrell, if you're reading this, don't change a thing.

    What's not to love?

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

These were the best-fitting, most comfortable shoes I've ever had straight out of the box. They fit true to size, have great laces that don't come loose on a hike, and the soles wear like iron. What's not to love?

Got these as a gift for my dad, as they're his favorite. He's used a pair of these as his day in day out, do everything, shoe. They've held up for over 2 years. He's had some foot problems in the past, and raves about the comfort of these shoes.
