Why We Like The Merrell Agility Peak 5 GTX Shoe
The Merrell Agility Peak 5 GTX Shoe builds on the popular line's trusted performance by shaving a few ounces and upping performance, allowing us to stretch our goals wherever our feet hit the trail. The breathable GORE-TEX membrane allows moisture to escape but prevents water from coming in, keeping our socks dry as we cross streams and skirt the edges of puddles. The odor-resistant Cleansport NXT treatment minimizes foul smells, no matter how many miles we log, and the mesh collar and tongue ensure our foot stays snug as the miles pass by. The FloatPro midsole and sturdy rock plate protect the soles of our feet from hard impacts and unpredictable terrain, while the FLEXconnect dual-directional grooves offer incredible ground feel so we can instantly react to any changes on the trail.

Good max cushion
Runs small sized up 1/2 size. Narrow but overall a max cushioned shoe. Very comfortable.

Need shoes that stay dry inside thru deep puddles?
Good shoes for wet weather . I used them to walk thru deep puddles on the trail from all the rain we have been getting. The insides stayed dry.

Comfy and fun color
The colors are fun and they are very comfortable. I wear them on long walks with my dog. Have not hiked off main roads with them but they feel supportive.

Great Walking Shoe
Great walking shoe! All my Merrells fit so well. There is no "break in period". They are immediately comfortable on my feet. I am not a runner, but I do love my walks. I have dogs, so I am walking daily, and these shoes make my walks all that more enjoyable

Functional
Let-me-say… these shoes delivered. I got to break them in during a 6.5 mile trail run in some rain. The terrain for the trail was muddy, rocky and we had some stream crossings, one including a log. Really got to test the grip. In comparison to other trail runners. The shoes have full support of the heel, mid and in/outsole. Good grip and a roomy toe box. What I loved the most about them was, although they were not the Morphlite. Which are Merrells' shoes meant for both, trail and road running. The Agility were not uncomfortable when walking on pavement. I would recommend for trail runs where you might have a significant amount of road to walk on before getting back on dirt. I've used other brands of trail runners on pavement and they were hurting the bottom of my feet.

Love them
Love them! They run a little tight so make sure if you are between sizes to go up. Otherwise I think they are great. A little warm in the summer but overall I’m satisfied the rest of the year.

No breaking in time!
My Merrell’s are currently in Denmark with me. Bought ‘em, perfect fit TTS. Literally landed in DK got the ground running and haven’t stopped for a week and they were a comfortable fit from start to…haven’t finished my trip yet but I will in my Merrell’s!!

Fits like a glove!
Solid, well made shoe. Tried on at least a dozen pairs before finding these!! Nice mid sole and heal cushion and arch support for running, walking, standing.
