From the high alpine of the Absaroka Range to the meandering paths of New Hampshire's Mount Washington, the Marmot Women's Xenon 15 Degree Down Sleeping Bag is designed to maximize warmth without weighing you down. Fashioned with a women-specific composition, the Xenon is equipped with additional insulation in strategic areas (ones where women most frequently lose heat) and sports a 15-degree rating that makes it ideal for early spring wanders through Moab or a late fall trip to Acadia National Park.
Constructed with a lightweight Pertex material, the Xenon features 800-fill down insulation that assures furnace-like warmth when temperatures dip below comfortably cool. Marmot utilized curved baffles to prevent the insulation from shifting around as you sleep. Additionally, the bag is outfitted with a Down Defender treatment, which provides extra protection from light moisture. And thanks to the anatomically-correct footbed and nautilus-inspired hood and draft tube, the Xenon is able to maximize thermal efficiency. Should things start to heat up a little bit, the two-way side zippers allow easy-peasy ventilation. The bag comes fully furnished with an internal stash pocket, drawcord for the hood, and hang loops. And, stuff and storage sacks are included, which makes taking care of your bag far easier than that time you decided to adopt a hamster and it promptly went missing.

Warm and light
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought for my wife. I have the helium. Just like mine, this is toasty warm on a cold night and nice and light. It’s going on the AT in a few months.

My favorite bag
This bag has kept me warm, dry and very comfortable along the CDT and 3 field seasons in the high mountains in Montana Idaho and Northern CA. I’m 5’7 and it fits perfectly, down bags insulate well when there’s a little air space left. For its warmth and durability it’s the lightest bag I’ve found, has water repellency and dries quickly.

Great bag!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had a marmot bag for the past 10 years and this one is just as great as the others. The vent flap is really nice for warmer days and the loft is great. I’m short so it’s a little long for me but I’ll make do. It’s also a little narrower than by last bag but still sleeps comfortably.

Lofty and nice! Too long though.
I had two other highly rated bags that I compared the Xenon against. The Xenon was by far the loftiest! Nice premium feel and comfortable. It was just wide enough to turn inside the bag whereas the other bags I tried were extremely narrow and required turning with the bag. My only complaint is that the Xenon is way too long. It says it is for a maximum height of 5’6” but that’s not accurate. There’s at least 6” extra length. It was much longer than the other two bags which were also listed for a max height of 5’6”. Marmot could have really reduced the weight of this bag if they trimmed the excess length!!!

Great bag BUT
Bought the regular Xenon for my wife. Supposedly for up to 5'6". On arrival it is exactly as long as my Helium made for a 6' man. In fact they are so similar I can only assume the Xenon is a marketing department SKU. Even has a pink tax on it being $60 more than the same Helium.

Weight to warmth is great
I upgraded from a thermarest adara to the xenon for cooler weather. Same weight but another 10 degrees of comfort. Does not compress to the same size , but pretty close. Just did 2 nights with frost on the ground and damp on the bag. Did not lose any insulating power and damp wiped off in the morn.

Too Long!
I thought this sleeping bag would be shorter because it is made for women. I am 5'3" and the sleeping bag has at least a foot of extra space. This is disappointing to me because it doesn't pack as small as it could and it hangs off of my petite size sleeping pad. Otherwise, it is very warm and comfortable. I like the quarter zip for getting in to the bag and venting.

Very warm!
I bought this bag for a backpacking trip in the Catskills! It definitely kept me warm when we got an unexpected snow storm overnight. My only compliant is that it is a struggle to get it into a 15L compression sack. It doesn’t seem to be big enough for this bag even though it states 12L on the website.

Solid bag
I would recommend this bag to any mountaineer or cold weather backpacker. It's super warm, comfy, well-made.
