While some may see "chance of rain" as a sign to cancel the day's hike, the Marmot Men's PreCip Jacket sees it as an invitation. It offers waterproof, breathable performance and a packable design to make it ideal for everything from treks in unpredictable weather to errands around town on a rainy day.
The NanoPro fabric provides complete protection from the elements while still allowing heat and moisture vapor to escape, keeping you from getting soaked with sweat when you're slogging your way up a hill. If you're still feeling too warm, you can open up the zippered underarm vents for instant cooling relief. You've got Marmot's signature Angel-Wing Movement design for uninhibited movement that won't cause your jacket to ride up, and accessible Pack Pockets that are placed higher to accommodate a backpack or harness.

BEST jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is hands down the best jacket ever made! I own two jackets and bought one for my mom, too.

Great jacket for all weather protection
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket keeps you dry and has great features. The high zip neck keeps out water and the hood functions just as it should. Has some degree of warmth in Fall weather and can be used as a shell over warmer non-waterproof jackets! Always in my outdoor gear!

Backpacking Jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great lightweight jacket for rainy backpacking trips. Pit zips make this jacket bearable on long hikes. I love the high pocket access; above pack belt height.

My 'Go-To' Jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My PreCip Jacket checks all the boxes for function, style, and value. Function is #1 and the PreCip has been great in rain, wind, or whenever I've needed a lightweight shell layer. The pockets, closures, and drawstrings are well-designed and versatile. And it rolls up tight and light for easy transport just in case the weather turns. Style-wise, the PreCip looks great in a variety of settings -- rugged, casual, and travel. I could have worn a Size M, but sized up to a L to allow for a sweater or fleece layer underneath. With or without the layer underneath, the L still hangs nicely with clean, straight lines. The PreCip has indeed become my 'Go-To' jacket. It's already earned it's keep with me, and I foresee years of use ahead.

The Marmot - PreCip is exactly what you'd want
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Marmot - PreCip is exactly what you'd want in a light-weight, stuff-able wind and rain shell. I've owned three over the years and the latest version is the best so far.
