Why We Like The Marmot Montreaux Down Coat
The walk to our favorite café is far more pleasant on snowy mornings with the Montreaux Down Coat to keep our core toasty warm. The hydrophobic down fill retains insulating properties when you encounter light snow flurries, and a DWR finish repels everything from light precipitation to accidental coffee spills.

Warm Winter Coat—I hope!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just what I wanted to keep me warm on those cold, windy winter days. Runs small so I needed a medium to replace my x-small winter coat. Faux fur collar zips off easily. Nice to have extra inside pockets and zippers on outside pockets.

Size Up
Love the warmth & style of this coat but it’s cut very small in the torso. Had to send back.

Love the coat, zipper can be a problem
I love this coat. It’s my second one. Despite reading warnings about the zipper, I bought the first one. Sure enough, the zipper is a bigger. It finally gave up while the rest of the coat survived two winters quite well. The price was great, so I ordered another and was a little disappointed the zipper hadn’t been upgraded. I’ll see how this one works. The coat is great. Super warm and looks great

Soft, warm, love the color
Love the fabric and the coat! This is a replacement for my old puffer from a different maker. The Marmot fabrics (inside & out) are wonderfully soft and easy to wear. Loving it so far. And the rain resistance is a huge improvement over what I had before. Got it end of season, so I don't have good feedback yet on warmth in the real cold temps, but loving it so far!

Nice jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is very warm but I don’t like the fleece layer inside. Runs small.

Great coat
The coat is just about perfect. As other reviewers mentioned, it is tighter across the shoulders and chest than other Marmot coats of the same size. That's why the 4 stars instead of 5. If I had gotten a M, it would have been too big everywhere else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's very warm and comfy, but I wish the outside material could be a little studier. just two wear (a few hours) i saw some pilling around the wrist area. sorry, have to returned it better size up. i'm 5'3 and 113b. usually xs size. i read the review and order size S. it fits well (can wear sweater under)

Great for Vermont winters
Other reviews were helpful warning that the size ran small so I got the large rather than medium--warm and lightweight/cozy/poofy coat, great green color, however the quality of the "faux fur" hood trim is a bit disappointing --good thing it's removable ;)

Warm and Soft
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems warm and comfortable. I haven't tested it out in freezing temps yet. Zipper does seem more difficult to pull, but hopefully will get easier with use.

Is the black coat a shiny material? In the pictures, the black color looks quite shiny compared to the other colors which look more matte. I am looking for a matte black.

For the lining in the arms, does it have a fleece type or smooth material? I'm not a fan of the friction when you're wearing a sweater with fleece lined arms.

Looks like I'm more petite than all the reviewers. I'm 4'11 but I do love a long coat to cover my by legs. I'm concern about where the pockets sit on the jacket. Does someone know how low the pockets sit on the jacket?
