I'm not sure why I resisted the idea of a vest for so long... I think I figured it it was cold enough to need an outer layer, surely I'd want sleeves? But after doing more hiking during the fall and spring, I realized a vest is kind of perfect for the wild swings in temp and for staying warm while you're moving. I seriously love this one, too... the pockets are nice and soft on the inside, the quilting is stylish and warm without being bulky, and the tall collar adds warmth without feeling restrictive at all. I started a hike in October with temps in the mid-30s wearing one long sleeved baselayer, this vest, and a light jacket, and once I'd warmed up some (and as the day got warmer), I was perfect for most of the hike with just my baselayer and the vest. So happy I bought it!
