Why We Like The LOWA Ottowa GTX Boot

Sporty and lightweight, the LOWA Ottowa GTX Boot is our favorite option for everything from snowy dog walks and afternoon hikes to days spent exploring wintry city streets. The GORE-TEX lining offers waterproof, breathable protection against slushy sidewalks, and gets toasty reinforcements in the form of GORE-TEX Partalena insulation that both traps heat and stays dry. Plus, the Winter Trac outsole keeps us upright with superior-gripping multi-directional lugs in slippery terrain.

Ottowa GTX Boot - Women's

I've used it several times
Size Bought:
5' 1"

Great boots. Super comfortable and easy to lace up. Pretty darn warm. I am a freeze baby and my hands and toes get cold really fast. I am 63 and circulation isn't the best. As for toe warmth: I live in Minnesota and find for me these boots are good to about 20 degrees. Any colder and I needed to supplement with Hot Hands toe warmers. That was with one pair of worn wool compression socks. I use the boots for hiking trails and sledding. Good grip and light weight. They are slim and fitted and it's easy to drive while wearing them. I really like them. Only gave a 4 rating because I thought they would be warmer. My 35 yr-old daughter has the same pair and said her toes stayed warm at 10 degrees--so there is that. She also lives in MN.
