Pocket ruined it for me

I cannot find shorts that fit me well. I really like these - perfect length, no silicone band to squeeze or sausage my cyclist quads, comfortable waistband. Unfortunately they are ruined by the useless stash pocket on the left leg that pulls the seaming out of line on one side. Who actually uses these pockets anyway? Sending another pair of shorts back.

I bought a small and they fit but just a little snug in the crotch. I will try the medium next time. When I put them on I could heard the threads tearing a little bit. I am 5'1" 120 lbs and like this short because of the 7.5 inseam length since I have short legs and a long torso. They are meant for rides no longer than 20-30 miles.

I ride endurance road, gravel and mountain and i do a lot of bicycle touring as well. I purchased 8 pairs of shorts from Backcountry and plan to review all of them. I have never owned anyting from Garneau. Of the 8 pairs of shorts I ordered, these are in the top 3. The 7.5 lenghth on these is perfect. The fabric used for the shorts is soft, comfortable and a tad thicker compared to some of the other shorts I tried on. The fabric has "medium" compression. There's pocket on the left side of the shorts for small items like lip balm, keys, sunscreen, etc. These are NOT see through and pass the squat test.These are a midrise short and while I prefer high rise, the waistband is extremely comfortable and fits over my hips without giving me muffin top. Full coverage in the back. In the end, i decided not to keep these but I think this is a great short and extremely comfortable. If these had a higher waist and came in an XS, I'd keep them. I will purchase from this brand in the future.
