You spent your winter training hard, rotating between hours in the gym and hours on the rollers so you can steamroll into race season already in prime condition. But your race-ready physique shouldn't end with your training routine; you'll surely need intensely stiff shoes that don't waiver under the power you put out, like Lake's MX332 SuperCross Cycling Shoe. Designed to perform under heat, stress, and power, the MX332s are ideal for XC racing, or taking to the cyclocross season. These shoes feature featherweight carbon fiber soles that are intensely stiff under pressure without a weight penalty, pack in tacky tread, and feature replaceable toe spikes for off-bike moments
The MX332s feature Clarino microfiber uppers that hold up to serious abuse while claiming a lighter weight than traditional leather. The heel is crafted with internal Thermaform carbon fiber panels that contour to your foot for a snug and precise fit. The uppers are finished off with an Outlast temperature regulating liner, and two IP1 Boas to secure you in with the perfect fit. Lake implements its MC Race last on the MC332s, with a narrower toe box, and tighter heel than the Competition last, and much less volume overall than the Sport last, instead opting for a fit that's slimmer, and suitable for racing.

Runs small and requires cleat shim
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 50
Having previously owned (and liked) a few other Lake shoes, including the Lake MX237 (also purchased on BC) I figured I was safe purchasing the same size Lake. I was wrong. When I received them, I couldn't get them to work with my SPD's. After a bunch of back and forth with Troy of Lake's support team (who had a terrible attitude), I realized they also required the purchase of a separate shim for the cleats to be usable with SPD's. Minor, but for $289, Lake should include these. Like the other reviewer mentioned, these run small. For my size (50), it was more about the width rather than the length. The 237's has small mesh cutout in the leather, positioned on the outside of the ball of the foot, whereas the 332's are solid leather. That small mesh section seems to have provided the width needed. I've tried stretching the leather with wooden trees but haven't gotten them to the point where they're my default shoe. Any ride over 90 minutes, and I'll revert to my old, ratty 237's. Shame, since these are otherwise fantastically built. I'd ride my 237's all the time if I didn't feel like I had thrown $300 away on the Lake 332's. Between Troy's support and the wonky fit, I'll be hard pressed to ever buy Lake shoes again.

Not many better looking than these!
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- 44
- Height:
- 5' 10"
- Weight:
- 166
These shoes are sooo beautiful! They are also beautifully constructed. I'm a big Lake shoes fan. The one problem with these in particular, is they run small. I own 2 pair of Lake road shoes, which are both size 44's, and they fit perfectly. Nice and snug with a little bit of toe wiggle room. I ordered these in the same size, and they are too small. My toes have no wiggle room at all. I need a 44.5, and unfortunately I can't find that size in this awesome color anywhere. If the sizing was consistent, they would get a perfect review from me.
