Take gourmet coffee into the outdoors.

Few things beat waking up in the backcountry and enjoying a fresh, steaming cup of coffee. The 5-Pack is available in light, medium and dark roasts, so you can select your requisite potency of morning mud, and wake up right.

    Essential

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is the most convenient, good tasting coffee that I've brought into the back country. It's easy, light weight, and doesn't take up space in your pack. This is an essential part of my pack now and I don't leave for a trip without it, because there's nothing better than waking up to a hot cup of joe.

    DANG!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This Kuju stuff is AWESOME! I'm a light to medium roast man, and this stuff is comparable to a decent cup you'd get anywhere in the city. It's nothing like the instant coffee you normally see in the camping section. That said the packets will take up much more space, and instant coffee but it tastes so damn good you won't regret it.

    This stuff is awesome!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

On my last camping trip I somehow managed to screw up the coffee and I thought my wife was going to kill me. These Kuju pour overs are the cure to my poor coffee skills. They produce a consistent cup of coffee that is better than anything outside of a hipster Portland coffee shop. Do yourself a favor and buy these for your next adventure.

    Delicious and Easy

I'm not going to lie, I was a bit skeptical of this coffee at first. Coffee is a must for me though (regardless of being inside or outside) and after giving these a try, 5 stars all around. The coffee tastes really really good -- it's far better than the instant options. I normally do a french press if I'm car camping, but not all my friends drink coffee so I either prepare too much or drink too much. So a single serving of tasty coffee is perfect. It's also much less effort than a french press (no cleaning), especially if you plan on camping for multiple days. It does take a bit of time to pour the water over, but worth it!

      SO. DAMN. GOOD.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

First off, I don't discriminate in my coffee drinking. I need some caffeine to get the day started right like the next guy and gal - but with that said I can absolutely appreciate good coffee. I don't mind drinking instant coffee (except for Columbian decaffeinated coffee crystals), but this is legitimately good coffee, not even a debate which I'd pick. I had the Basecamp Blend for a couple of days in a row and was definitely impressed. I'll have to give the other roasts a try, but the bar has been set high as is.

Especially before they're used, they're really not much bigger than a packet of tea and are idiot proof in terms of use. I do wish you could pour the full amount of hot water than letting it seep in a bit, but good things take time I suppose.

While I don't think I'd use these on a daily basis or at home, they excel at coffee on the go - backpacking, car camping, you name it. SO. DAMN. GOOD.
