I wear Levi's 559 32x34 and I purchased a 32x34 in these as well. Waist was a little tight but a 33 would probably be perfect. Biggest problem was when sitting. The zipper chokes up around the thighs. Obviously the zipper won't stretch so it turns into a tourniquet. I do a lot of squatting so your mileage may vary. My old TNF convertibles were cut roomier but it seems like the world is moving towards dudes having twigs for legs.

The snap on the waist if of poor quality and keeps opening. However the snaps on the pockets and ankle cuffs are very sturdy and do not come undone. How about putting those on the waist instead? Seems like a no brainer.

I loved the earlier version. This newer version of the Renegade is too tight through the thigh. Then Kuhl also changed the material to less stretchy. The pockets are fine. Don't buy these unless you have skinny legs.

I stumbled upon these pants and I am glad I did. They are the perfect outdoor pants. Zip off, stretchy and cuffs that you can clip down..what more can you ask for. They fit me perfect - I am 5'10 215 with an athletic build and 36 x30 was made for me. Do not hesitate to buy these you will love them!!

Great fit a little short on me like almost all pants I buy as I am 6"5 with 36" inseam and a 30" waist. Plenty of pockets and the zip off convertible is easy to use. Zipper does not stick!

The legs were a little long, other than that they are my favorite pants. The zippers are well hidden enough to fool most people at first glance. They are flexible and breathable. These are my new climbing pants. The legs roll up well despite the ankle zippers.

I bought these for a fall trip to the Boundary Waters and needed something that would keep me warm in the morning (when temps were in the low 40s) and cool in the afternoon (when temps were in the 60s). These Kuhl Renegade convertible pants were perfect for that! I also needed pants that could handle tromping through the woods looking for firewood, and they handled that perfectly as well. They were comfortable, they were sturdy, and they breathed well. Great pair of pants.

I have tried many different hiking pants including several Kuhl styles and have to say these are fantastic. Of all the pants, the Renegade Kargo Convertible fits my body and build perfectly. Super range of motion and extremely durable. I've used them for hiking, casual wear, and fishing with great comfort and style that evokes many comments from folks around me. They wash up and keep their color and shape extremely well. Cold wash and air dry give the best results. I've been in wet weather and they dry rapidly and comfortably while wearing them. Even in the warmest and most humid conditions, I find they are very comfortable. Hands down the best pants I've owned. I have every color except buckskin and in the process of buying extras. Love them!

Item shows to have shipped July 15. It is July 21 and still haven't arrived. They were supposed to be 2-day shipping. If you look at the tracking it appears they have been around the east coast to several different locations.

Bought these pants a couple weeks ago. I've worn them frequently both hiking and everyday. They've been worn in the Phoenix heat and up on the Grand Mesa in Colorado. I've never had a pair of pants that were this comfortable. Kuhl uses a nylon blend that is slightly stretchy. Even if you've worked up a sweat, the material won't stick to you and will continue to stretch the way you move. The pants are fairly lightweight. Pockets are mesh lined. The cargo pockets have a cell phone pocket built into the right leg cargo and a zipper security pocket in the left. The pants look pretty good when zipped off. The crotch is gussetted and the inseam is triple stitched. The thread used appears to be robust and durable. These pants have my highest recommendation. Best pants I've ever worn.
