Hiking Comfort!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 6.5
Purchased the Keen shoes last month after being an avid Salomon fan for years. The Keen shoes have excellent arch support, sized perfectly and were extremely comfortable on day 1 of our hike in Colorado Springs!

As always Keens are comfortable
As always Keens are comfortable from day one. I wear them for work (mail carrier) and will never buy any other shoes for work. Keen is the choice for me and several of my coworkers. Thank you for making a great product!

These are the most comfortable hikers EVER!
I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot, along with some other painful quirks, and I have real problems finding both running/walking shoes and hiking shoes that offer just the right cushioning, plus support, plus a wide enough toe box. Mind you, I don't have wide feet...they're fairly average in width. But so many brands of shoes lately seem to be narrowing their toe boxes for some reason. Keens overall are always accommodating in that respect, however. And I've got to say that these Steens hikers are, hands down, the most comfortable shoe I've had on in ages. I've been wearing them nonstop since I got them because they're more comfortable than my high-end, cushy running shoes. I've been wearing them to walk, to hike, and just around town. For me, they're very true to size. I typically wear an 8 1/2 in runners and hikers, and that's what I bought in these. They just fit so well. They're perfect. Please, please don't ever get rid of this style or change it up. Now that I've found these, I will buy more. I'm very brand/style loyal when I find something that fits me well!

Awesome shoes
I have been wearing keens for several years. They are great for hiking on various terrain and also navigating icy and snow covered sidewalks and driveways. Before I started wearing Keens I developed foot pain and stiffness. Wearing these shoes every day erased all of my problems. No more pain! I highly recommend them to my friends and co workers that have similar problems. I have tried other brands but always go back to Keen

Durable beyond your imagination
I’ve had a pair of keens for over 3 years and they have not changed a bit but yet I’ve taken them to multiple states and many muddy, wet, rugged trails. They have lasted so much I just started wearing the to work they were so comfortable!

Okay
These weren’t terrible. There was a weird amount of wiggle room in the toes, which I need, but somehow they felt a little too loose and unstable on uneven ground. Keep in mind I have bad ankles, plantar fasciitis and a cranky pinky toe and they almost worked so for less fussy feet - these could be excellent.

5 old Keens
I find that it takes Keens far longer to break down than any other shoe. When my bones begin hurting, I buy a new pair of Keens. I am a fan for life. I am a 9.5 in a woman's shoe, so will try an 8 in a man's shoe hoping that they will last even longer. I have been wearing Keens for over 20 years now. At 75, keeping moving is essential, so are my Keens. Actually, if I could design the shoe differently, I would put two velcro tabs to close the shoe. One would be right across the vamp, giving me support needed to keep the bones straight and not form bunions.

Extremely disappointed :disappointed:
Was excited to try this new, low, breathable hiker...have an older pair of low, waterproof hikers and I LOVE them, they are SO comfortable! However, this pair did not even come close to comparing...the new style footbed that all of the Keen shoes seem to have now is not even remotely comfortable and gives no arch support, whatsoever! The ankle cuff on this shoe sits just below the ankle bone and causes bad chafing with movement...sadly disappointed in this shoe and the new style footbed that Keen has adopted! This used to be my favorite, most comfortable brand of footwear, but sad to say that is no longer the case :disappointed:
