Step into the future.
Change is good, and according to Julbo, nowhere is that statement truer than in the category of glacier glasses. As one of the original pioneers of glacier glasses at the end of the 19th century, Julbo could have remained satisfied with the near mythic status the Vermont achieved. Instead, the company continued to innovate, and the Explorer 2.0 Sunglasses with Spectron 4 Lens were born. If you're mapping out a trek to the Haute Route or Ranier, the Fitz Roys or Everest, invest in this thoroughly modern take on a mountaineering essential to be fully prepared.
Replacing the traditional leather shields might've been a controversial decision, but Julbo had good reason for it. The Explorer's synthetic side shields are removable and not nearly as susceptible to damage after spending long periods of time in wet weather as leather. As you spend days navigating unpredictable glaciers, the Explorer's wraparound design and anti-reflective Spectron 4 Lenses do an even better job at blocking light from all angles than its predecessor, while its fully adjustable temples retain the same nearly limitless customization options as the Vermont for all-day comfort and healthy, safe eyes.

- Q & A
Broke on first trip to the alpine
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I ordered these back in June, and during the summer I used these as a general day to day pair of glasses while I was outside everyday for work and they were good for that purpose. Yesterday i took them on my first ski tour of the season and the frame snapped while they were in my pocket leaving me with no eye protection for the rest of the day. I have never had any durability issues with the 15 dollar sunglasses I used all last season and will continue to use them instead, as I expect much better durability for the price.
Do these sunglasses come with a storage case ?
