    does it's job

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I am not disappointed in Hydro Flask, and if it ever quits on you their warranty is the best around. This is perfect for lunch/dinner on the go.

    Works well

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great for traveling on the go, food doesn't stay warm for longer than a few hours so I use this accordingly to ensure I am able to eat it in a timely manner. It's also beneficial to re-heat food before putting it back into this to ensure it stays warm as long as possible.

    Still Really Sweet

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was fairly hesitant to pick this flask up because I didn't think I would use it that much at all. But ive been using it for the last few weeks and I use it all the time, It keeps fruits yogurt nice and fresh but it lacks just a little in keeping the soups hot for more than 5ish hours.

    Better than reviews indicate

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So I was very hesitant to buy this product because of the reviews I was reading. What I needed was a great thermos to keep my son's soup warm until lunch. I didn't see many other options so I have this product a chance despite some of the bad reviews. I love this produce and my son loves this product. The soup keeps warm from 7AM until he eats it around 12. He has no problem opening it, which others have said was an issue and lastly I think he thinks it looks cool and loves taking it out of his lunch box. FYI my son is 8 years old.

    Great for Packing Lunches

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

My stepmom is a teacher, and she loves taking this to work with her. It keeps her hot foods hot and cold foods cold. She let me know that the lid is sometimes tough to open, so she's had to be careful about how tightly she fastens it. Otherwise, she likes the size and functionality of this Hydroflask.

Not as good as the bottles

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Food seems to be a lot harder to keep warm than liquids, since it doesn't have great density. I've found that I can keep hot foods warm for about 3 hours in average temperatures. Cold foods seemed to be okay up to about 4 hours. The best way to get the most out of this flask is to PACK IT FULL. Fill it up to the very tippy top to keep food warmer or cooler.

    Functional defect for hot food

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I saw another review with the functional defective gasket for hot food. I bought 3 in total, 1 18 oz one too. I put hot soup for my kids and they can't get the lid off. They are teens, not little kids. There is a suction problem and the lid will keep spinning. The junk soft gasket gets sucked into the food if you are successful getting the lid off. Food everywhere if not careful. Need to pry extremely hard to get the lid off. Very little to grab onto. Lid threading strength and design prevent the lid from lifting it off. Keeps food cold and hot, but this is only good for cold food. Funny thing is, i packed chicken noodle soup like the description. Will not recommend or buy again. They have proven hard gaskets on the bottles and they go and do this. Hello.

    Hydro Flask Insulated Food Flask

I’m not a fan of storing food in plastic containers, so it’s great that these are pro grade stainless steel, BPA free and feature double walled insulation. Let me say right here that I am a huge fan of the new colors Hydro Flask is putting out, very sharp, appealing, and fun.I’ve used this to take hot food to my son’s soccer game, on a road trip, and a few other times. As a scientific inquiry, I primed it with boiling water, added hot food, and then opened it once an hour on the hour to see how long the food stayed warm enough to eat. In my case, that was 5 hours and even then the food had residual warmth. This is not your typical test, so I suspect that the flask can keep sealed hot food for at least the 6 hours Hydro Flask states. The food flasks come in two sizes and retail for about $30 for the 12 ounce and $35 for the 18 ounce. Hydro Flask does offer a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects, so feel confident in acquiring one of these.

    Finally!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The hydroflask food container is the best by far in keeping foods hot. For school lunch I give my kids the flask with hot food in morning and it is still warm by lunch! I heat water in the microwave and pour it into flask to warm it before filling with food. I am throwing out all my other thermos like containers-no comparison. This is the one to get!

Keeps food hot but lid gets suctioned on

I really wanted to like this food flask. It actually keeps food hot, and doesn't leak. However, about half the time, a vacuum forms and the lid won't come off without a lot of effort and it involves immersion into very hot or boiling water to break the vacuum seal. I bought it for my daughter for her school lunches, but now I always have to pack backup food for her in case the teacher can't open it because of the overzealous vacuum issue.

Hey Rachel - I have heard of other folks having a similar issue when they put really hot food inside these flasks. They key is to let the food cool a little bit so the vacuum does not form. It takes a little trial and error but feel free to reach out with any questions.

      Amazing Containers!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These containers are a dream come true. I have been eyeing them for about a year and finally took the plunge after hearing all the good reviews from friends and co-workers. They regulate food temperatures perfectly. I have tested keeping ice cream cold and after 10 hours in the car the ice cream was still solid. I use them nearly every day to take food to work. Hot soups, teas, ice cream, salads, etc. they don't leak and because of the wide mouth, they are a breeze to clean. I have several and can't recommend them enough! Super amazing!
