Why We Like The HOKA Arahi 6 Running Shoe

With a little more cush and a little less weight than its predecessor, the Arahi 6 continues to defy logic by giving us an ultra-plush platform and a lighter-than-air feel. Retaining its light and firm J-Frame, this iteration still gives us the stability we need for healthy tracking from first stride to last, while the early-stage meta-rocker and responsive foam roll us into quick transitions.

So Comfortable but Won't Last Long

I was in LOVE with these shoes for the first two months I had them. I would wear them on my daily 30-minute walks and occasionally out to run errands. They are so comfortable, offer amazing support, and look great! However, they started falling apart only 3 months after purchasing them. Now, four months after purchasing, they're unwearable. I would hope for more longevity in such an expensive product.

Love these shoes, but have already started falling apart

These shoes were a dream come true. I have a lot of medical problems with my feet and back and these shoes made such a difference. The downside is they started falling apart less than a year after purchase. I was hoping after paying this much that the shoe would last longer. Disappointing

LOVED the Arahi 5

I bought the Arahi 6 because I love the 5 so much. Ordered the yellow color and it was even better in person. However, this model is giving me blisters on the inside of my heel. Never had this issue with the 5. I don't know if my heel is rubbing against the insole or what but I google it and apparently others have had this problem as well, some said they thought the heel was more narrow in the 6. I don't know what the problem is but it's a real bummer!!!

Arahi runs narrow

I nearly always wear size 8.5, but this style pinched my outside toes. I returned them via a physical Hoka store, in order to try on some other styles in both regular and wide width, but their stock was next to nothing in women's wide width. Call ahead if you are going into a store to try on, otherwise you may be wasting your time. Now I'm taking another gamble ordering a different style in a different size (sigh).

Painful

I never write reviews but these shoes were so painful I had to. I have never worn a wide shoe before, and have been fitted for many running shoes, so I was confident enough ordering the regular width for these shoes. The size was perfect length-wise, and the stability was great, however I got horrible pinching pains on the inside of my feet by the second or third time I wore them. I tried thicker socks, adjusted how I tied my shoes, and a variety of other tricks for about a month but they continued to give me horrible blisters on the inside of my feet. Unfortunately am going to have to return them. These were my first pair of Hokas and I was excited to try the brand, but I don't think I will be buying again.

Need toe reinforcement

I love the Hoka Arahi shoes. I've had quite a few already, but always have the same issue - after a while I get a hole around the area of my big toe. I have regular to narrow feet and honestly never had this problem with any other brand, but the Hoka always get a hole there. It seems they need more reinforcement around the toe area. Even though the shoes look like new I cannot wear them with a hole in one shoe. I love the comfort, but I guess I need to give up on these. I hope the new style takes this in consideration.

Ridiculously Narrow

I don't have wide feet but these were so narrow. Tried loosening the strings, still felt like my foot was hanging over the sole. Can't imagine wearing with wider feet or bunions. Also agree with other reviews that the tongue seems short.

These are HORRIBLE

Great quality materials used, but design is definitely flawed. I tried wearing these 4 times and every single time I ended up with a long blister on the inner part of my right heel. I didn't walk far in them, and got blisters every time but thought I just had to break them in. Then I noticed a lot of other reviews on these mentioned the same exact issue!!! you can tell they are made with quality materials, but definitely have a design flaw since so many people had the same issue. A little disappointing considering the price.

Nice looking, but didn't hold up

Gorgeous shoe, but I am having to buy a new pair. I've only had them a few months and barely with because they're rubbing in my heels so badly. I love Hoka and had success with bondi. Guess I need to try again, so disappointing because if the price.

Plantar fasciitis' best friend

I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and my workout shoes were not supportive enough! My podiatrist and PT recommended Hoka shoes! I searched for one that would help with PF and this were the recommended ones!!! Worth every penny! My shoes and I love these shoes! Just bought some hiking boots from HOKA! Very expensive ones... hope those not disappoint when we go hike Macchu Picchu in couple months!
