Why We Like The HOKA Anacapa 2 Low GTX Hiking Shoe
Made for day hikers who can't get enough cushion, HOKA's Anacapa 2 Low GTX Hiking Shoe keeps things light and plush on the trail. We love how HOKA's max cushion midsoles spoil our feet with max shock absorption, while the extended heel and Vibram Megagrip outsoles give us a stable, grippy base that smooths out our heel-to-toe transitions. The Anacapa 2 Low GTX is fully waterproof for damp and soggy trails with a Late Stage Meta-Rocker that steadies our steps on uneven terrain.

I returned the shoes
I have had good fits with my 4 previous Hokas but these did not fit in the heel or body even as the regular width

Comfortable shoes for walking all day long. I wore out my old ones and got an exact replacement!

Buy only if you do not routinely order Hoka wide size shoe.
The shoe looks great but has really been difficult to wear as I normally wear a men's size 9.5W. As a result I ordered size 10. It definitely would have been to tight in the toe box for me with a size 9.5 R. I now have to wear two pairs of socks without the great fit from a 9.5 W. I would not recommend the shoe for those requiring W size shoes.

Not enough support
I have flat feet and there isn't enough support. My feet hurt after wearing. I like the Vibram sole and the toe cap but the shoe is too loose for my medium width foot.

I'm buying another pair.
I've purchased good work shoes before, very pricey. This shoe reminds me of a good quality work shoe. I really feel protection between the floor and my feet. I purchased the first pair for work. (Auto Painter) I will receive my second pair for casual. Love them.

Lovely trail runner, a tad narrow
After about 3 weeks semi daily wear and many miles in varied terrain, these are very grippy, cushioned, and breathably waterproof shoes. The sole seems more durable than other models from hoka, removing some concerns about longevity. Minus 1 star for feeling more narrow in the midfoot.

Solid hiking shoe, but wide heel.
I love almost everything about this show, great tread and upper material in particular, but the rear foot portion of the shoe is unusually wide. And this shoe is 1/2 to a full size larger than the Speedgoat 5's I purchased recently. I have to tighten the laced excessively to secure my heel, but otherwise very happy.
