Why We Like The Hodgman Aesis H-Lock Wade BOA Boot
You go fishing to relax, and it's pretty darn hard to relax when you're switching in and out of waders and hiking shoes every time you see a fishier spot downstream. When you have Hodgman's Aesis H-Lock Wade BOA Boot, that part of your day is as easy as can be. Its H-Lock System allows you to replace the boot's sole with welt for grip on slimy stones, or you can keep the rubber sole intact for the trail. Hodgman also outfitted the Aesis with a BOA dial closure for getting in and out quick and simple.

Exceeded expectat;ions
I got my Aesis shoes and headed off to the Colorado River around Parshall which is, if you don't know, greased bowling balls. The studded soles really performed well on those rocks as did the boa closure system which is miles ahead of traditional laces. I fish a lot so I don't know what they will look like at the end of the season but out of the box they performed well.

Fall apart at 4 months!
To much synthetic materials used. They turned brittle after a couple months and busted at the seems everywhere, but were still useable. Then my boa wire snapped while wading. (Cough cough)... KORKERS!

Fell apart afer 4 months
I bought these last February. By June the boots were falling apart and looked 10 years old and one of the felt soles peeled off. The following April the other felt sole peeled off. I will say the system for locking the interchangeable soles is fantastic and the Bola system is OK (I prefer laces but that is just my opinion, I had no issues with the Bola). I thought an expensive pair of boots should last longer than a few months or at least be replaced. Until they fell apart I thought they were the best boots I ever had.

Started falling apart after 6 months
Had these boots just over a year, the material on the toe and heal have completely shredded which started 6 months in, and the felt separated from the sole. Do not buy unless you want to be disappointed, went back to Korkers.

Great Boots
Just received my new Hodgman wading boots. The H Lock system for the interchangeable souls works great. Also this is my second set of boots with the boa system. There is ample adjustment on these boots which makes them very comfortable.

H lock system fail
I really liked these boots until my h lock system failed While walking the river rocks the sole would twist out unlock and was gone down the river. I put my other sole on thinking it was a one time thing and then the same thing happened. Very frustrating

Incredible Boot so far!
What can I say, I love this boot! Had them for the winter steelhead season and the spring trout season so far. Zero complaints. Construction is VERY good, boots are light and I have my boots on and fishing 10 minutes before my friends. I was hesitant on the price, but its totally worth it. I'll never buy lace boots again!

Amazing fit, comfort, and stability!
I honestly don't know if I own a more comfortable pair of boots, period! The boa laces work flawlessly, as too the interchangeable soles. Great to have the versatility to swap out studs for being in a boat for the day. Bought them after my Aesis waders because of how impressed I was with them.
