Taking cues from Hardy's award-winning Proaxis series, the Zane Saltwater Series Fly Rod is ready for an even bigger catch. This range of rods is well equipped for saltwater and predator fish, especially due to its high-strength, low-weight Sintrix construction. This performance material offers durability that withstands the weight of our catch and the wear from salty waters.

Short Rod 9wt
This rod is awesome. I got it for snook and juvenile tarpon. Super fun to throw. You can definitely dial it in with the short rod. I think if Hardy offered a 8' 1 piece in whatever series replaces the regular Zane, they'd sell a million of them in South Florida. It definitely feels like a high end tool, it's for a specialty application. Would not be my only rod, but it might be my #1 boat rod for shots in close right now.

Smooth Casting Zane!
This rod ;ets you feel a cast and generates power through the lower section of the rod. It taught me to cast better. Only drawback, not great in winds over 15 mph. For those nice occasions, you can keep a super fast action 10 that feels like an eleven in the boat!
