Bought this as a goft for my wife. Its a high quality pack. It's great for begins and intermediate backpackers. Its lightweight and durable material as well as a comfortable fit, everything needed in a pack. The only thing I'd say it's lacking is more pockets and dividers, but thats typical for the smaller size packs. It has the essentials but more would help me stay more organized out in the woods. It's great as a 1-3 day hiking pack if your into minimalist camping. May be a little big to through on your back while snowboarding/skiing/biking but would still work.

Very happy with my purchase of the Kalmia
Just bought my Kalmia 60- took it on an over night trip. Was comfortable to wear and easy to make adjustments to fit the body. Seems durable like it will last me for many trips to come. I liked the access pockets. I do feel I will have to strategically pack for multi day trips, maybe a 65 woulda been better choice for more room. Love the color and fact dirt didn't stick to it. Overall extremely happy with my purchase of the Kalmia after reviewing many other bags.

Perfect long weekend backpack
I have not got to take it out yet but so far I love the comfort of it and the way the load sits. The only downside that I wish it had was daisy chain on the front of the pack which for me would make it complete.

Excellent pack. I have a short torso and this feels effortless, even when weighted up.

Comfortable and easy to organise
As someone who's petite (I'm 5'1" & ~140lbs), I find this pack to be very comfortable and easy to pack. I've now used this pack on four trips of varying length and elevation gain, from a 9-mile round-trip mostly flat two-day trip to a 12-mile round-trip with 2,500 ft elevation gain and loss two-day trip. The only kind of trip I can't speak for is a multi-day longer than 2 days. I find that there aren't any hot spots for me and that the weight is really balanced if I put everything soft in the bottom of the bag, my bear barrel in the middle, and my tent on top. I attach my in-camp shoes and my camping chair to the bottom, and that seems to work well for me. I did buy the day pack that goes inside and that seems to work really well for holding my water blatter, and of course, being a day pack. I'm really happy with this pack, and I've already recommended it to a fellow backpacker who's gone out and bought one for herself! Keep hitting those trails folks! Enjoy!

Comfortable, durable, versatile pack
I used this pack for a six-week backpacking trip through Africa, and I couldn’t have been happier with my choice of pack! The material held up really well with no visible wear and tear after being thrown on airplanes, buses, and the ground over and over again. I obviously expected my pack to get super dirty on a trip like this, but dirt and dust seemed to brush right off. The pack was easy to adjust and very comfortable; I have a small frame and used to always get bruises on my hip bones from my old backpack, but I didn’t have this issue with this backpack. I also loved the various pockets and that there were multiple ways to access the large compartment, which made it really easy to quickly find items without having to unpack the bag. I’m excited for many more adventures with this pack!

Love this backpack!
Did a 28 mile hike with this pack, and it was great! I love that the waist pockets are a little larger and they fit my phone. The pockets in the pack are also well designed for staying organized. I did wish I had paid attention to how the pack should fit. My other pack was 15 year old, and I didn't realize that the newer pack design doesn't sit on your hips, it's designed to sit above. I was much more comfortable once I figured this out. The only thing lacking with this pack is a daypack option.

Great bag!
I have the European version of this bag (if it's different) but one can't write a review on that website. Love it! Comfortable and easy to adjust. My previous backpacking bags weren't easy to adjust so it's great to finally have a properly fitted bag. Also, the free float system adds to the comfort which is again something I'd not gone across before. The water bottle holder is handy, as are the many pockets for organisation. Hip belt pockets are a good size for holding phone etc and it came with a rain cover. Could've chosen a lighter rucksack but the extra features are worth the extra weight

Amazing pack, love the features!
Amazing backpack for both an overnight or a longer multiple day trek. First, I loved how comfortable this pack was. I took it on a 21 mile trip the first time I used it and there was no “break in period”. I also really appreciated the big pocket on the front of the pack. The location and size of all the store felt really thought out and made getting snacks or items needed items quick out of my pack while hiking. Last during the warm weather, I sweat a lot, but the pack still felt really breathable, even in the hot summer weather. Overall, I really like all of the updated features from my last Gregory pack, I have been using Gregory packs since I started backpacking 14 years ago. I am always impressed by the new changes that come out with each design.

Ticks all of the boxes! Perfect!
I had the opportunity to take this pack out on two trips recently and I’m in love. My first introduction to the Gregory brand was the Maven 55 liter pack, over time it didn’t work for my load out so I changed my gear setup and went to the Deva 70. The Deva 70 was great but I had issues with the lumbar support (it didn’t work for MY body and put a little too much pressure on my back, even with taking out the padding.) I also realized that 70 liters was just too much extra space for my load out. Then finally the Kalmia 60 came into my life. The feature of this pack that I love the most is the suspended mesh back panel, this feature makes the pack comfortable and you can carry weight easily and get in a large amount of miles without putting any unnecessary stress on your body. The hip belt was also stood out to me, I’m a curvy girl and the hip belt hugged me just how it needed to and it was comfortable. If you’re a super organized backpacker like me then you’ll love all of the options for storage and organization, there are many points of access as well so you won’t ever have a problem getting to the gear that you need to access without having to rummage through everything. The sidewinder bottle holder on the pack is tenuous as well, how many times have you had to “chicken wing it” or just take your pack off to get access to your water bottle? With this pack, those days are over, the sidewinder bottle holder allows for comfortable one handed access that lets you continue on trail without having to stop to grab your water bottle. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this pack. If you have been thinking about getting this pack, just go ahead and do it, you absolutely won’t regret it!
