Very wonderful for short stays.
This is a great traveling companion for those who like backpacks. The laptop holder and duel clothing storage make this a winner for me. I’ve used this as a carry-on for planes and snuck it under a seat when not paying for one ;). This bag is everything I needed and wanted when looking for a travel backpack.

Almost perfect
Almost perfect. The only thing I would add would be compression straps. Everything else is perfect.

Pretty good!
I've only had the chance to take the bag on 1 overnight trip so far. Overall, I really like it! This bag has a good amount of compartments without overdoing like some other clamshell style backpacks. Also a better price and fit than most others I've tried! In my experience, Gregory is great for tall people with broader shoulders The only reason I'm dropping a star is because I was surprised that the most of the zippers are a bit difficult to close. I think it has to do with the bags malleability.

Great carry on pack.
Great size for the person who wants to take a carry on only. Was able to fit enough clothes for 5-6 days. The big compartments are great (especially the plastic side) for dirty laundry or even shoes. Seems like it’s built to last. Definitely I will be using this pack for all my future traveling since I don’t like checking in any bags. Highly recommended. Even bought one for my girlfriend and she also loved it.

Best airline travel bag
Perfect size and capacity for a weekend getaway. I’ve used it several times for trips around Europe. Never any issues as a carry on. Clam shell design makes packing a breeze. Compartments make it easy to keep the dirty and stinky stuff separate. Definitely recommend.

4.5 stars, almost perfect but room for growth
Overall, this is a great backpack. I plan on using it for a 3.5 month trip around the world and when I did a practice pack, everything I plan on taking fit with extra room available. The quality of the bag is very good and the zippers are exceptional. The only things I would change are to add padding to the waist straps, add more space on the top pouch, and add 1-2 more pockets within the outside pouch. Overall though, very happy with Gregory they do excellent work.

Carry-on Only European Travel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the only bag I used on a 3-week trip to Europe and LOVED it. I fit all the clothes, shoes, camera gear, and toiletries I needed for a three-week trip. Plus, it fit my laptop! There are so many great pockets and I love the locking feature, which helped me feel safe against pickpocketers. The bag held up great on my trip and fit in all overhead bins on flights and train rides.

Versatile carry on backpack for your needs
I was looking for a backpack that I can use as a carry on for a month long trip in the Philippines but also use for hiking. I'm very delighted with the spacious pockets and compartments as well as the secure tabs.

Great design and very functional!
I had been looking for a nice bag to take on weekend trips besides having to pack my roller luggage every time. They really thought of everything with the design. The straps tuck away when not needed and it has two carry handles you can use. The compartments provide plenty of room for what you’ll need. Great bag. I’ve told a lot of people about it.

Is the side handle on the 40L Border Carry On wide enough to fit over handles for rolling luggage? Is it as wide as the "pass-through" on the 30L ? Note: I wish I didn't have to choose between tuck away straps and pass-through.
