Garmin’s new Vivoactive 4 is in many ways one of the best support systems available to us in these rapid, get-it-done-now days. How we managed throughout any given day used to be entirely subjective. And while our own interpretations and feelings still matter, the Vivofit 4 and its plethora of built-in features provide informative, motivating, objective data to your day. Underneath the refined Gorilla glass and updated bezel, this always-on health and fitness wearable serves as a powerful diet, sleep, hydration, wellness, and fitness coach, as well as your on-the-spot personal secretary. And peeling away at the plethora of analytics built into the Vivoactive, you'll find its primary focuses are providing valuable data to you based on the lifestyle you are leading, and working you towards more mindful goal setting to achieve the lifestyle you want.
Sleep is still a mystery to most of us, but the Vivoactive 4 dives right into crucial sleep cycle data like light, deep, and REM sleep cycle quality to help you take full advantage of nature's best restorative feature. Stay on top of fluid intake with the hydration tracking feature before getting to those morning workouts. For novice exercisers or those of us that just need some tips on a new workout, an abundance preloaded and guided yoga, Pilates, or even custom animated workouts are on-hand (or on-wrist, actually). Keep pushing for PRs on your recreation loop the Vivoactive 4 has GPS tracking of over twenty preloaded sports, such as swimming, indoor running, and cycling. If you feel that you may have pegged it too hard in the morning workout or maybe feel like hitting that two-a-day session, check in with the Body Battery Energy function to see live details on your energy levels and total stress accumulations. And for adventurous weekends that inspire solo trail rides and runs, the built-in safety and tracking features can broadcast your location to connected contacts for peace of mind. The Vivoactive 4 is a feature packed, confidence-inspiring smart watch for an active lifestyle.

Great GPS watch for the money
This is my 3rd Garmin watch. I hike often and have sleep apnea. The GPS is accurate on hikes. The sleep and oxygen measurements help me track how well I am sleeping. My next watch will be another Garmin. I have tried several other brands in the past and the Garmin is the most reliable and has a really battery life.

Just ok
Since I have had this watch it has helped me tremendously DURING my run to monitor my pace. BUT sometimes I contemplate going back to Fitbit because it was easier to use and I prefer the Dashboard in the app gave me better information. I have had many instances of trouble with the connection between my Garmin watch and the app. Plus I really don’t get the information I am most interested in on the Dashboard of the Connect app!

Super Accurate, some issues.
I bought this watch last year and I loved it. It is super accurate it always lasted over 7 days for me (unless I was using GPS). But then all of a sudden it started crashing when I tried to launch a workout or activity. And then a few days later it never turned on again. It got stuck in a boot loop and I tried everything I could to get it to work again. But it stopped working fully. But the overall watch is a Great Pick if you want long battery life and accuracy.

Meets all of my needs
I've had a Vivoactive 4 for just over two years now. Most of my use is for gym workouts, golf, cycling, and health tracking. I also use Garmin cycling computers and sensors, so the Vivoactive 4 works seamlessly to keep all my data in one place. I appreciate the flexibility and durability of the device. The only item that is not positive is the charging method. I've had to spend more time to maintain and ultimately replace chargers than seems reasonable. Garmin support is also a bright spot - responsive and helpful.

No battery life after update.
Ever since the latest (?) update, the battery life over night drops, a LOT! I have always left the phone charging in my office when I went to bed. Now the battery life goes from 89% -91% at bedtime to 21% -32% over night. Some time even less. Used to last 2-3 days. It keeps trying to "phone unconnected, phone connected" How can I undo this "update"?

Bad Battery Life
I bought my vivoactive 4 in May. I had to return is to Garmin in June due to the battery dying as soon as it was removed from the charger. The return process was easy, BUT I guess the battery problem is a known issue with this specific model of watch. I was sent a refurbished watch in the same color. The battery life is still lacking. Having to charge the Garmin every 3 days and not being able to use half the features because of draining the battery is annoying. Selling this watch online. I already purchased the vivoactive 5 hopefully I’ll have better luck and a nicer display.
