After a year of use, climbing, riding the whole enchilada on a snowy day in moab, and used to spring ski under bibs. I love this thing and am a die hard merino wool fan. Sleeve cuffs are starting to stretch a bit :( but thats due to mittens and should be expected!
Perfect for casual settings

This is a nice sweater for any casual dining or around town outings. I went with the navy and was happy with the colors. I will say that I thought the other colors were a little less vibrant in real life than in online pictures. This is a wool vest and itches a lot at first. I recommend a baselayer for added warmth and comfort. The fit is trim, so if you are looking for extra space you might want to go for a size larger. That said, I have some pretty gangly arms and the length is good without going a size up. So increasing the size for the chest or stomach could lead to some long arms. Everything that I've experienced so far makes me think that this will last for the long haul.
The pictures of Fjallraven products appear to be much more "vivid" than the product itself. As for the sweater, it's good, nothing spectacular. I wear it at ski towns just for the fun of it.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
This is a nice, thick, well constructed sweater. It's warm and looks great at a fancy dinner or around a campfire. You can tell as soon as you put it on that it's gonna hold up a lot better than anything you can find at the mall.
