Five Ten has a long history as one of the only mountain bike shoes on the market with a sole that actually did a great job gripping flat pedals, seeing they used climbing-inspired Stealth rubber on the bottom of the original Impact Shoes for sticky traction. After varying redesigns addressing issues of overall durability, the Impact Pro Shoe is back to solidify Five Ten's dominance in the world of aggressive all-mountain and gravity disciplines with its stout and sturdy design, complete with Stealth rubber that originally made it famous among riders using flats.
If you're going to ride with flats, then this is the shoe to have, at least if you don't want to slip off your pedals at an inopportune moment, only to fly off your bike at high speeds or suffer a painful pedal shot to your shin. That's because the newest version of the Impact Pro is using a Stealth S1 outsole with traction bumps throughout to dig into your pedals without slipping, even if it's wet and muddy on the trail. The upper is reinforced too, with a Poron XRD foam toe cap taking the sting out of slamming your toes on a fall or bashing the front of the shoes into a sharp rock.

Not my fave for riding
Lugs are almost too big, they don’t grip my spank pedals as nice as my freerider and freerider pros, great for hiking I suppose? But my heel doesn’t feel locked in due to the padding at the back cup, alomst too much padding really. I rode this in the rain and found they sucked up water like a sponge, was expecting the opposite. I bought these after my freerider pros and found they left bulky when riding, hitting my bike frame and cranks and just felt clunky. I have a few friends that swear by these, but they’ve never had freerider pros, and freerider pros are my go to time and time again

A perfect fit and great grip!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A perfect fit and great grip! It also happened to match my DH kit, which was an added bonus :)

Best purchase to date.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great support and base sticks to the pedals even on the most uneven terrain. Great in wet conditions. A good all rounder MTB shoe.

2nd pair just love em!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first pair over a year ago. They are brilliant but do recommend you go half a size up. They are well made, comfortable and do the job perfectly.

Super comfy
I have a pair of the contact pro, freerider, and now the impact. I wear a 5.5 in this company. I’m normally a 6 in most shoes but the 5.5 fits perfect in five ten. I bought a 6 as well and ended up returning them because they felt a little big.

Rock Solid Protection
First thoughts... So excited these are being offered in little sizes! I have been rocking old youth sized impacts and was bummed for a few years when they stopped selling them. These seem like they will offer great rock protection and hold up well. Thank you Five Ten!
