Challenge the status quo.
When it comes to all-mountain riding, you need a ski that can handle a blend of big lines, bigger tricks, and high speed. Enter the Faction Skis Candide 2.0 Ski. Playful, buttery, and poppy, this ski lets you look at the mountain from a whole new perspective. Tip and tail rocker make turning a breeze and help you ride through less-than-perfect snow conditions without a hitch, while low camber underfoot throws down a solid amount of edge hold and pop without making the ski feel twitchy when you find yourself in deeper snow.
The updated poplar and beech core is light and absorbent while still providing strength and snap for a playful, responsive ride. Faction reinforced the 2.0 with carbon underfoot to prevent blowouts during hard stops and rail sessions. They also laid down triaxial fiberglass to keep the Candide strong and torsionally stiff, but made sure that the ski's natural middle-of-the-road flex wasn't affected. The ski's sandwich construction is lightweight yet strong, with a design that supplies plenty of edging power. An updated micro-cap topsheet provides increased durability, while the sintered base keeps things speedy, so you can be confident you'll clear whatever gap you're lining up.

After switching back and forth from 4 or 5 different skis, I purchased this ski on a hunch and from few recommendations I had heard. I was not surprised to feel the stability, agility, and versatility of the ski. In the park it was buttery and playful, handling jumps very smoothly and rail features with more stability than most park skis. The ski was extremely well balanced for big mountain style riding as well, staying true at high speeds and carving/holding an edge without a fuss. Being as lightweight as it is, I had no issues leaving it on the whole day during resort skiing and have no complaints about carrying them while booting it up runs off piste. As an added bonus, it is one of the best looking skis I've seen in its category. For the all mountain use I intended it to be used for, it has been an amazing tool; I am happy to say it concurs every aspect of the mount extremely well without having any drawbacks at all. The perfect ski for the way I ride.
