Why We Like The CFX3 35 Powered Cooler
Anyone who has camped in warmer months for more than a few nights knows just how much of a pain it can be to monitor ice levels and drain off excess water from coolers. Dometic’s CFX3 series of coolers implements an integrated electronic compressor to keep your food cool without any ice, and adjustable temperature controls let us make our own ice if we really wanted. We can plug the cooler to our car's battery to cool it down, and unplug it overnight or when we're going for a hike. Dometic's three-stage dynamic battery protection makes sure we don't kill our car.

Great cooler
I bought the CFX3 35 and used it for a one week car trip. It worked great. I wish the power plugs were located at the same end as the display is located. Currently, when it is loaded into the car I can't see both the power connection, to be sure it is connected and not bumped loose, and the display.

Exceeds All Expectation
I previously owned the CFX 28, which served me flawlessly, running 24/7 for the past three years before upgrading recently to the CFX3 35. The upgrade was driven by the need for more room and the convenience of monitoring temps through the app while traveling. So far the CFX3 35 has exceeded all my expectations in size, efficiency durability and performance during our full-time adventure traveling through the backcountry.

Great car camping fridge!
I bought this for my car camping rig and so far it’s performing nicely. It requires very little power to run. when they say less than a 60w light bulb, they aren't kidding! It cools down quickly and it extremely quiet. This was important because its right next to me while sleeping. A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for!

It came down to Dometic vs ARB...guess which? :D
I ask a lot of questions, hoping to make the most informed decision. I have a two door JL that I plan to take on a 3 week tour, from PA to Moab>Rubicon. I want a smaller cooler, because the most I'll be "off the grid" will be three days. I went with the CFX3 35, and man oh man I couldn't be happier! Its rugged, easy to manage with its iOS app, easy to clean, and I get asked a lot about it. Its been a real trooper! Highly recommended.

Game changer.
I know that phrase is thrown around a lot, but what a difference over needing to find, buy, pack, drain, etc. ice on a long trip. I'll never go back. Does exactly what I need, has plenty of room, and sips power. I have it plugged into a 100ah battery and a 150 watt solar panel, and in 300-days-of-sunshine-Colorado, I can power it indefinitely. Five stars all around.

Great fridge - rubbish cable for PLB40
I love the fridge - absolutely great piece of gear. I love the PLB 40 - also well made and works so well. I HATE THE 12v CABLE. I have to buy a new cable to be able to utilize the 2 pin socket on the PLB battery. My cable does not have a 2 pin option to use on the PLB40 - it’s just a standard 12v plug. I tried unscrewing the end but there is just a fuse. I was not supplied with any 2 pin plug alternative. Where can I buy this mysterious 2 pin plug that is required? Thanks

Build like a tank and unbelievably quiet
Throughly impressed with everything about this CFX3 35. Will fit perfectly on the back floor of my 2020 Ram 1500 and plug into the 400 watt 110 outlet between the rear of the front seats. A breeze to set up everything including the blue tooth. To call this beautifully designed workhorse quiet is a vast understatement. I had to get down on my knees beside it to even hear the compressor or fan blowing. My kitchen fluorescent light makes twice the noise, Also the Dometic PLB40 fits perfectly in the pickup bed Ramboxes beside their 400 watt 100 outlet to keep it charged.

Durable and Functional
Design is clean and user-friendly, product is durable enough to survive Baja... that includes sitting on the beach and getting covered in dirt and sand. Easy to use for quick trips or keep food cool for long rides!

First of like to point out that your drawing for the dementions are wrong, the picture on the right states that the total depth is 12.68" while the picture on the left states the area above the compressor is 15.16" So my question is whats the actual size?

Why doesn’t this website give the outer dimensions for these refrigerators? I have a very specific space, so my purchase is dependent on which CFX3 will fit that space on my sailboat.

Does this cooler compare in size to the coleman 40 qt. iceless cooler? I'm a trucker and I'm done with the quality of the coleman. I'm purchasing 3 coolers a year! I need a cooler comparable in size to the coleman.
