Great for minimalist travel
I've had the slightly older version bag for just over three years. I'm a 5'8" and 175# female. (Picture is my same-sized husband holding it up). My version has a lot more "rigging" in the back but is otherwise about the same as the current version. I've lived and traveled all over the world and this is just the right size for living out of for anywhere from 2 days to 2 months. I would not want it any bigger or smaller--just perfect. Unlike most theoretically “female-fit” gear that does not live up to the hype, this bag fits great. I don't ski, but I have walked with this bag many hours a day fully loaded. High on my must-have list is a comfortable strap system that includes a sternum strap and waist belt. This bag has an excellent strap system and very comfy waist belt. The belt is easily removabble if you just want to carry a jacket to visit a museum or something. Because of COVID, I haven't done many international trips with it yet, but I used it on a Caribbean cruise where I walked around each island on my own for the entire day and used it to carry snorkeling gear. I’ve also used it on trips to do canoe and kayak racing around the Midwest. It carries my overnight gear and all the stuff I need to pack in my boat for the race the next morning. I have also climbed and rapelled with it at Devil's Lake State Park in Wisconsin, and it didn't get a single scuff. One feature I use all the time is the extra "strap-side" zippered opening, which allows you to open the bag if you have skis or something attached to the back. But I like it because you can access the bag like a regular “clamshell” suitcase. This makes it super easy to pack and to access everything on a trip. If walking in a pickpocket-prone area, you could also padlock all the visible zippers, but leave this “hidden” zipper that nobody can see or access unless you take the pack off. Finally, at least the version I have has many thoughtfully-placed attachment points for gear, jackets, bike helmet, etc. These can all be tucked out of sight to give a clean look. The whole bag uses high quality materials, zippers, straps and rigging. Can't think of anything I don't love about this pack. Highly recommend!

It's everything I could want in a ski pack & more!
Love how minimal this bag feels when it's on my back. I've used other bulkier bags while skiing and they really throw off my center of mass. This is important to me because I notice it affecting my performance. I also appreciate how slim this pack is too because I feel more free to move my arms around as needed. While in the back country I prefer using an Aframe for my skis and this pack lets me do just that. It's so sweet that it comes in cool colors too!
