Adventure in comfort.
Ready for the long haul, the Deuter Aircontact Lite 50+10 Backpack will carry all the gear you need for a few days in the backcountry, and will also fit in your gear closet when you're not out hiking around. The Aircontact Lite 50+10 has a basic top-loading design with a large main compartment, height-adjustable top lid, and bottom sleeping bag compartment for easy access. Pockets on the top, sides, and front of the pack let you stash gear for easy access when you're on the trail.
Like any good pack, Deuter built this one to haul heavy loads comfortably, with their Aircontact Lite suspension system, lightweight aluminum x-frame, ventilated back padding system, and shaped shoulder straps to help evenly disperse weight across the back and along the hips where heavy loads can be more comfortably carried. The front of the pack is fitted with ice axe and trekking pole loops, so you can bring it along on more gear-intensive peak bagging missions and keep your hands free when you need to scramble or make a few fifth-class moves.

Everything you need in a backpack
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I was given this product from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion. The Deuter Aircontact Lite 50+10L has just about all that you need in a backpack, it is functional, good looking, and has well thought out features. The shoulder straps can move up and down, and although it isn't necessarily the quickest change, it was nice to be able to dial it to the correct height for my back. It has all the normal straps to adjust and tighten the hip, shoulder, and chest. The pack is extremely comfortable and stable once properly adjusted. Although I haven't put it though a ton of miles, I did load up to the brim with camping gear and was pleasantly surprised how well it distributed the weight comfortably. The fabric and construction seem very durable and hearty. I have the blue (navy-arctic) color combination of the Deuter Aircontact Lite 50+10L and I think it looks really good in person (if that is important for your backpack) . Finally, the features are pretty spot on. I like the larger hip zip pockets for quick access and the larger side pockets hold a tall nalgene no problem. I have a 6L MSR Dromedary Hydration bag, and it doesn't quite fit when full of water, but it doesn't fully fit in any backpack I own. I also prefer the front access pocket and divider, it's nice to be able to grab a sleeping bag, rain fly, or a stove on bottom and not have to dig down from the top. Overall, very impressed with the quality, options, and comfort. Can't wait to get it out on a multi-day trip.
