- Q & A
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I sent this to my mom because she was using an old, hideous backpack that I must've left in her house from when I was in Highschool. She flies a handful of times a year for weekend trips and this bag seemed perfect for her to not have to also have a duffel unless her trip was longer. She just used it last weekend and said that it wont fit under the seat in front of her but it does fit in the overhead bin. She's an over packer and said there was still some room in the bag for more. The Plum colorway is also super awesome, I have a backpack from Dakine in the same color and I love it!
Spacious but a bit heavy
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I bought this bag looking for a nice travel bag with sufficient space for weekend trips that would still fit in an overhead compartment. I had considered a duffel bag, but I wanted the organization of a travel backpack.
Overall, I think this backpack does a good job but it's just a tad bit too big for me. While I seemed to have a never ending supply of things to fit in the big, the bag became a bit too heavy once it was full. And the weight was an issue because there weren't any waist straps to help offset the weight on my shoulders.
It's a sturdy, durable bag though with TONS of space. When I used it, i brought a computer, charger, pair of shoes, thick oversize coat, 2 books, 3 shirts, jeans, leggings, sweater, down coat, and a few other things. You can definitely pack a lot in there. For me, it's a bit too big; I definitely could have gone with a smaller pack. But if you're looking for a big backpack but don't want to go the backpacking route, this could be great for you!
